Another one from KUMB

4 games, 3 wins to WHU. Noble ran the midfield, as usual. He ran rings around the spurds, so did Downing. The steaming pile of hotshite got lucky, which was the only way they were gonna get anything. Champions league? Spurds? what a joke! See you at your horrible crap hole later and we'll likely put your pathetic team out of your misery.. again.

I haven't heards spurds before.. I'm guessing it's a spuds-turds hybrid #topbantz

Reaction when a very poor Arsenal side scrape past Crystal Palace

'Winning when you're not playing well is a great sign, you've got to be able to get points even when you're playing badly if you want a shot at the title'

Reaction when we scrape past West Ham despite playing with 10 men for the majority of the game and it being our new manager's first competitive game

'£100m down the drain, no chance of top four'

Still, prefer it when no one expects anything of us

'Waco like siege'

Big Sam holed up in the stadium like David Koresh? Greg Dyke on a megaphone with a couple of microlights flying overhead? The porn brothers desperately fleeing to Montego Bay?

Liverpool fans have a real nerve slating our performance against West Ham - in which we had ten men for the majority of the game and playing away from home.

Glass houses and all that....Southampton were much the better side at Anfield and if they could finish their dinner they would of won comfortably.

They're all speaking like they're a shoe in for top 4! Without Suarez they've lost a huge threat to their attack.

Liverpool have City, then us in the next couple of games.... like Kevin Keegan once said, I'd fucking love it if we beat them!

Sometimes I feel jealous of Pool fans. Whatever happens, however hard the world tries to show them otherwise, they always believe they are awesome and destined for - and deserving of - eternal greatness. Mountains of evidence to the contrary are swept trivially aside, as they spend every day convinced of their god-given and justified magnificence. It must be a wonderful feeling.

Spurs fans, on the other hand, no matter how well we're doing, we always manage to devote most of our efforts to finding fault and slagging off our own players, threads dragging on page after page trying to demonstrate that doom is just around the corner, even after, say, winning a derby away from home with 10 men.

I think that's what's really pissing me off about the quotes in here from RAWK. Off the back of one freak season they're dismissing us, Everton and, most ridiculously, United as irrelevancies. Unparalleled arrogance/ignorance.

United the least ridiculous, did you see their back 5 on the weekend?

I like it because you would have thought they would have learned some humility given their recent fall from grace but nope, as arrogant as ever. It will make their drop down the league much more enjoyable.

Seriously Mr P?
We were beyond awful though?
Liverpool fan(spit) are entitled to their opinion as you are yours. Pool and Southampton were far better than us Saturday.

Soton put up a great show.....

I do find your views quite strange Steve, sometimes :)

How on God's green earth can you say Liverpool were way better than us on Saturday?

We had a poor spell for ten minutes before the red card, so what...it happens in games, and this under a new manager away from home in a local derby. Its going to take time before we see Poch's style implemented etc We did very well after going down to ten men actually.

Liverpool on the other hand were playing at home against a side who's lost 5 of their 6 best players. Incredible that Southampton played them off the park in the second half.

I think Soton were excellent 'considering'. The lose of key players

I thought Pool were about what I expected 'considering'. Arguably the lose of the best player in Europe.

I thought we were poor 'considering' the players in our team and the opposition.

We played like we did against Palace last season. Even though it was our first outing it left me feeling disappointed.

I think it's going to take at least 10 to 12 games before we even start to see MoPo's philosophy start to take shape.

Let's not forget the players we had missing

That and thinking we're going to lose despite being about 7-0 up. :nailbiting:

If we can keep afloat during that time (5 matches against Top 4 Challengers in the first 15), we could set ourselves up for an interesting ending to the season. Honestly, if was can somehow maintain the good form against teams we should beat just like we did last season and add in some decent results against the normal Top 4 clubs, we will be in good position.

It's also worth considering that we have a new manager implementing a new style of play. Southampton have a new manager and have lost almost half their starting line up from last season. Liverpool, on the other hand, have the continuity of a manger starting his third season at the club, and only started two new signings. And whilst they've lost not the best, but one of the best players in Europe, according to Daniel Sturridge they're better without him.

Daniel Sturridge is dumber than I thought. Liverpool will struggle to make the top 5 this season and we will surely finish above them.
