I've never met a Spurs fan who gave a shit about West Ham. I want to beat them on Wednesday but only because I want us to win every game. They're irrelevant.

Riggi is literally the only one I 'know' who does. But he's an oddball anyway so it's irrelevant :sneaky:

All the people saying Arsenal fans are overreacting, I'm not so sure. Following Leicester's win at WHL, Arsenal and Leicester were level at the top of the league, 7 points above Spurs. 6 games and 8 points later, they're 5 behind Leicester and 3 behind Spurs. It's a startling drop in form when you consider the win against Leicester only came because Simpson stupidly got himself sent off. Of course they can still win the league from here. But their recent form has made it far more difficult than it should be, and they aren't in a good way right now.

That just highlights how things can change very quickly in football. We are having an incredible run at the moment but there is a long way to go yet. We need to keep this up for the next couple of months to really have a chance.

They only have two wins in the last seven league games. Besides the win against ten-man Leicester the only other win was at Bournemouth where Flamini should have been sent off after 8 minutes.

In a season of very little Spursy moments, it would be the most Spursiest thing ever if for the first time they finish ahead of all the big boys, they lose the league to bloody Leicester.

the Spurs team under Pochettino will go into each of their matches with every confidence of a getting a result.

This confidence stems partly from having conceded fewer goals than anyone else, having scored more goals (jointly with Leicester) than anyone else, having won 6 league matches in a row and being top of the form table by a big margin.

But perhaps the biggest confidence-booster of all is the tremendous team spirit that Pochettino has inspired - no big egos, the disruptive and those who give less than 100% all shipped out. Coupled with excellent fitness levels, this has meant that even from losing positions the players still feel they have every chance of going on to win, not least because many teams can't match the same energy levels over 90 mins and they start to wilt.

That would be a very special thing. When it comes to Tottenham its never enough for them to just fail, you have to make them feel like they are about to win massively and then spoil it at the last possible second. See Champions League/Willian etc for examples.

Tbh any other year if it weren't Utd I'd like Spurs to win it. But you've got to back Leicester now. That's once in a generation at the least what they're doing in the era of money and status quo. Spurs have the name and structure to keep ascending for the future.

Have a soft spot for Spurs. Always tried to do things the right way. They're probably less entertaining now but better for it.

It seems to me that much of the spotlight with respect to the title is going to Leicester City which is great but Spurs are now just 2 points off the top and 3 points clear of the arse. Spurs like Leicester I believe have a real chance to take the title.

My two penny's would be on them winning it

it's Spurs. The perennial legends. I hope Leicester win it but if they don't then I'd love to see Spurs do it. Arsenal and City can feck off.

They've got a pretty tough run in as well.
Lol Spurs are probably bigger legends than Arsenal, they'll likely lose their home game against the gooners too.
They traditionally have been, but this is a very different Spurs side, with a different manager, different key players etc.

Spurs are probably the most tenacious side in the league. Going by that that they should win the league.
I like Ranieri but compared to Pochettino he is like Pompeius compared to Cesar.

I'm always disappointed when we don't win their cup final I've got to be honest.

It's like the league game earlier on in the season where we steam-rolled them didn't even happen..

I enjoy our rivalry with Arsenal. The games almost always feel huge and, in the last 5 or 6 years, have meant something too. I'd be somewhat sad if they did a Leeds.

West Ham on the other hand are a bunch of manic lunatics. Some of the most hateful horrible scummy ****s I've ever heard and quite frankly, if I had one wish, it would be for that awful club to fall off the face of the earth.

Wet Spam blog:

"We have a real chance on Wednesday, the players will be hungry for revenge after that painful defeat and Noble in particular will be explaining to the newer players what this match means to the club. Our last match against Tottenham at The Boleyn Ground, it's one of the biggest of the season."

Link: http://foreverwestham.com/2016/02/p...ve-west-ham-are-where-they-belong-this-season

Mark Noble (for it is he): Now then, newer players, this game is really important to West Ham.

Newer players (for it is they): So you want us to play better than normal, is that right?

Noble: Yeah, that would be good.

Newer players: So, you wouldn't want the KUMB match day thread after the game to give us "the award for being the worst player on the pitch"?

Noble: Err, no

Newer players: Or to be described as "completely outclassed"? Or to be called "slow and lacking in technique compared to the opposition"?

Noble: Err, what's your point?

Newer Players: And you wouldn't want the West Ham fans in that same thread say that Alli made us "look like a pub player" and laugh at our pretensions to being an England player?

Noble: OK, you can f*** off now. I had a bad day. Just try not to lose 4-1, alright. It's embarrassing...

There are 33 points to play for, that gives huge scope for change. We could finish 35 points behind Leicester yet!
