Should be a coach really if he's that astute. He'll be one of those pundits moaning that english players don't want to manager, but the truth is they'd much rather be stuck on the couch in some studio with Sky.

He's apparently doing his badges at Chelsea. Always hard to tell but he's certainly got a better chance than most of making the transition from a top player into a very successful manager. As much as you love to hate him as a Spurs fan it takes a special reading of the game to get as many goals as he did consistently from midfield: if he can use his intelligence and eloquence to convey that talent to others then I can only hope it isn't Chelsea who eventually benefit from it.

He will have learnt a lot (good and bad) about man management from Mourinho and his uncle Harry Redknapp.

There's going to be an excess supply of pundits as retired former England internationals look for the comfy life in a studio.

Gary Neville is superb in going into detail and looking at things at different perspectives but he can also speak clearly and articulate his thoughts well. Jenas is the same and Lampard in the little I've seen too. However the vast majority are full of fluff. Particularly the BT lot.

Carragher's alright but I think he gets carried away with looking to point fingers. Remember when we went 3-0 up away at Watford and he spent the whole half time break rubbishing them while we barely got any credit for our play...

He was just jealous, as he knows that had he been playing in thatmatch he could of increased his spurs goal scoring record.

:cautious:

Nah seriously, there is always a degree of bias from pundits (Jenas being pro Spurs, Murphy too mostly) and Carragher is always at odds to praise us, its just how he is. Besides, sometimes it's just right to highlight the poor elements of a team, it's just it should ideally be balanced by the other pundit or presenter.

I think.Carragher praises us quite a bit. It's that twat Mcmanam who doesn't really.

He loves Chelsea, he along with Savage have been anointing Chelsea as Champions for weeks. Not saying they are favourites (which they are) but that they have already won it.

Agreed, he even said (IIRC) on that clip that he'd love to see us win the cup and that we need to win something, which I agree with!

It's hard for liverpool fans to accept that we are better, because they fancy themselves to be a proper football club that if other dirty oil money clubs didnt exist they'd be running the league every season. So the fact that we have built this squad organically and are really challenging for the title playing some amazing stuff, really highlights how poor Liverpool are as a football club.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but thought I would share that one of Sky's La Liga pundits (Terry Gibson - former Spurs player too) has done a piece on candidates for the Barcelona job. He talks about the names believed to be on the shortlist and the names he think Barcelona should add to that list.

Despite what the muppets on Sunday Supplement and numerous rival fans are saying/hoping, Pochettino isn't included as either a viable nor expected target, owing primarily to his Espanyol connections (as he himself and many on here have already said).

Is Monkey Man trolling here or has he been hitting the pipe?

Writing in his Daily Mail column, former Arsenal defender Keown believes Costa is still a better player than Kane despite the Englishman’s impressive goal record.

“I would also select Diego Costa over Harry Kane. At the moment, Costa is the better player — though Kane is not far away,” Keown said.

“In a one v one Costa has caused defenders so many problems this season. He was desperately unlucky to miss out on the Player of the Year shortlist.”

Keown is trying to reinvent himself as some kind of footballing intellect, but comes across as a village idiot struggling to articulate anything with substance and credibility. He's also a weird looking twat.

I distinctly remember during the game at Stamford Bridge this season how subdued McTwataman was while we were leading, he soon perked up once Chelsea came back into it.

I remember about 40 seconds into the game after the only action in the game was a long ball from Chelsea, he proclaimed in a passionate tone: 'Great start from Chelsea in this game!' and then for the rest of the half he was bemoaning how poor they looked while we were on top.

I'm not sure he is trolling, for the sake of some extra hits. I actually think he believes this. That's just my gut instinct coz he's a ****

For a Gooner I actually quite like him.

I also think that, on his day, Costa's all-round attributes are better than Kane's, but Kane's superior mentality and consistency make him a more effective striker across a season, as he has proven for the last couple of years.
