I like Jonathan Wilson for his inverting the pyramid but fuck me, has this narrative not been done to death already?

At least he mentioned about our finances being lower so credit to him for that. I don't expect him to do all the research or know as much as us, but he could at least quote Levy on the reason that our spending in the transfer market was kept low until this summer was on request of the banks who are financing the new stadium.

Lets wait and see what happens in the summer shall we, I think it will be different next year.
This is the sort of article you write just after being told your gran died or your wife is leaving and you starr debating the futility of life and end up writing some football piece in place of that because that's what you get paid to do. It's a really unrelentingly negative outlook not just on Spurs but on all of football.

I am not putting too much emotional investment on our summer transfer business because we don't control all the variables and even if we did there's no guarantee anyone we buy will be the success we hope. For me it is just important that the club is always trying. That I look and can tell the club is actively making the effort to improve and compete and I'll ride what coaster of emotions come from the dice roll that is some of those decisions.

He's a Sunderland fan lads, the same Sunderland who, if they dont win tomorrow, will have gone an entire calendar year without winning a home game.
He's got the hump, he hates football, and he wants everyone else to hate it as well.

Not sure about this one, he wrote an article before the NLD lavashing praise on us and basically saying we'be overtaken Arsenal and really sticking the knife into them saying that the next crisis is always around the corner in which he got abuse for from the Arsenal fans and has funnily enough since priver him right...maybe he feels that he needs to readdress the balance and not come across as too biased but it seems a little strange from him.

I find it weird. A few seasons ago the media were banging on that players were getting paid too much. Thats seems to have been completely lost. Now they aren't paid enough. Its not just with us either, although we seem to be in the crosshairs the most.

Man City are a nothing club to me although one we used to beat regularly and still actually do despite all their oil money. Them winning the league is nothing but a shit stain on the game.

It is state sponsored footballl. There is no way anyone other than the Saudi royal family could compete. It is ridiculous. If it gets to a situation where they totally dominate the Prem then something will have to be done. I don’t blame the City fans, they are living the dream.

I was earning more at Newcastle in 2002 than they do at Spurs now - Dyer
Former Newcastle and West Ham midfielder Kieron Dyer says Tottenham's wage structure is hindering the club's ability to win trophies.

The 38-year-old recalls being told by a Tottenham player last season how much they earned, and says it was less than he was paid at Newcastle in 2002.

This clip was first broadcast on 5 Live Sport on Friday 15 December, 2017.

He spoke to a full international who is regular for club and country towards the end of last season....

With Dyer anxious to fill a central midfield role but Robson intending to pair Nicky Butt and Lee Bowyer or Jermaine Jenas in slots he craves, such a scenario appears highly unlikely

Jenas should bring that up

And where are Newcastle now

Hindering our ability to win trophies, how many trophies have Newcastle or even Liverpool won lately.

Boring ass British media. Not every club is the vanity project of Arab royalty

I know a story about Dyer from back then... When I finished uni I got a grad placement in a local business in Newcastle. Every week they had some cleaners in, who apparently cleaned alot of Newcastle players' pads.

One week they were telling us they'd been cleaning Dyer's quayside apartment. They assumed he was out, and one of them went to go clean the bedroom... Only to walk in on Dyer, lying on the bed, stark bollock naked, pleasuring himself to porn on his laptop.

The woman was horrified and they left and didn't go back.

Does Dyer now sell super/luxury motors? Or is he a supermarket home delivery driver and have that as a question on one of his customer surveys? Only two scenarios I can think of where anyone in football talks to him at all, never mind about their wages
