We've had a bit of upheaval but have got quality with goals in with Sigurdson and Caulker is back to Bolster our defence .

No Parker , no King , no Addybaddy and away at a really tough ground , fortunately at the height of Summer .

So what do we think , sink or swim , soar or bomb ?

Not panicking and predicting a season of struggle and relegation or anything, but I think we'll lose this 0-2. Newcastle is a difficult ground to go to at any time, but after their excellent season in 2011/12 I think the home fans will be very loud indeed in their support for the first game of the season, and I don't think that will do us any favours. Football-wise I see us having a reasonable share of the game, but with Defoe up front I think the ball will keep on coming back at us and I think their superior strikers will make the difference.

That said, I expect us to put West Brom away by at least a couple of goals at WHL even if we're still looking at just JD up front - don't think Steve Clarke will cut it as a manager, and if we lose today I think we will look to take revenge on a decidely mediocre West Brom side.

I would bite your hand off for a 0-0 today, but like you I can see this one going the wrong way. If it does I'll be back on SC on Wednesday once all the knee-jerkers have had their say.

Last season when we played Newcastle away I predicted a victory. This season I predict a draw.

I clearly have more faith in HR than AVB. AVB OUT!

I have absolutely no idea today. With our lack of strikers, we need the midfield to step up to the mark. Our defence has to be better than it was against Valencia too. I think we can win, but amazingly there hasn't been a draw between us for 65 games or something!

2-0 Newcastle.

With us looking decent up to a point but being toothless up top and just not putting anything in the net with only Defoe to bank on.

Also agree with the poster above who said about the ball just repeatedly coming straight back at us with no hold up man.

Spurs community got it right !

By a narrow margin we collectively reckonned it would be a home win and it was !

We gotta beat WBA haven't we ?
