After all the years of dross, the living in constant hope, the false dawns, this season has been amazing.

And I will, no matter, what the score is tonight, stand at the end of the game and say thank you for giving me the best season I've had as a 35 year old fan, thank you for letting me take my 67 year old dad to AC away, and thank you for giving me so many amazing memories in this top table of European football we've all wanted so desperately for so long.

I believe tonight tonight will be 'goose bump' special, and it will have echoes of glory, as a great man once said.

I believe.

And Win 5-0 or lose 4-1. Thank you Tottenham.

totally agree and posted something similar on another thread. I hope all spurs fans are of the same opinion.

Just imagine the possitive affect that will have on the players, staff and board also. Let show everyone we are the best fans out there. no booing, No stupid Adeboyor chants, just positive tottenham all the way.

Totally, totally agree

This time last year I said, after Barca panned the Gooners, that I'd give my right arm to get panned by Barca in the QF of the CL

Well, I wasn't far off, and I'm pleased to say I was right.

I won't forget this season in the CL, it's been bloody brilliant, and the players have massively stepped up to the plate

Great stuff lads

Are you part of that secret Spurs society that have their own league in which Spurs are on a par with Man Utd on League titles then?

A great season after the last 20 odd years is like the one we're having. Stop whingeing!

 excellent - but no im not. i just have higher expectations. Its about winning something and in the last 20 years IMHO we have had three great seasons one fa cup and two league cups thats all.

i just do not get carried away by one season that results in us finishing 4th and qualifying for the CL.

both Jol and harry boy started something and the worry will be that Harry will also not finish it.

This. Seriously, some people have ideas above their stations when it comes to what equates to success for Spurs right now.

I wouldn't call the 07-08 season great because we won the league cup, not at all! Lost Jol, won the cup in the new year and then slid down to the mid table by the end of the season, losing Keane and Berbatov in the summer. Fucking awful season, cup excluded, if you ask me.

Given that for an awful lot of the time I have supported Tottenham we have been a mid table club, with the likes of Dozzell, Kerslake and Rasiak amongst our squad - seeing us compete at the level we are, coming out of the shadow of the scum down the road and competing in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, beating some of the best teams in Europe constitutes a bloody brilliant season to me.

we all have our own barometers to what we constitute as a successful season. For me winning a trophy will constitute a great season irrespective of what else happens.

yep we lost jol and won a cup and then we took foot of gas as we had qualified for europe.

losing keane and berbatov was at the start of the next season for me and discovering ramos being a plank -

dont get me wrong it has been a fantastic adventure so far but it will all amount to nothing if we do not qualify again next season. we will have one season to say we got further than arsenal as they play barca again in the Ko rounds next season and we are watching from the sidelines.

although you can always counter that with 'live for the day'

i want regular very good seasons which for me equates to qualifying for CL inerspersed with great seasons with trophies and somewhere in thier a fuking brilliant season where we win the league or Cl or both.

I want good football to watch every season if possible as well

its about opinions

Unless that's sarcastic clapping (which I doubt it is) you have serious contradiction problems

I don't think he does, I think I get what he's saying, but disagree with him.

He classes a cup as success/great season. Many would class last season as more successful than the carling cup season (me included). TS just has a different way of looking at it. Either way, winning the league cup being a great season isn't him having ideas above his station.

correct.

im old school and like to win things ,winning a cup is more successful to me than finishing 2nd 3rd or 4th .

i actually would prefer the Cl to only have champions in it but it is not going to happen.

maybe i need to change my approach but i actually believe we now have a very very good squad that could be a truly great team over the next five years and beyond with the right next manager and correct signings.

New format....CL for Winners of the 3 domestic trophies. Might make the trophies more competetive then.

Or have a new domestic Premier league trophy and take EPL sides out of the League cup.

Top two in CL and then the EPL CUP winner and also the FA Cup winner.

As you can tell, these ideas are at the very early design stages

EDIT, as for the squad...had we bought Carrol, we would be in the top 2.
