correct.

im old school and like to win things ,winning a cup is more successful to me than finishing 2nd 3rd or 4th .

i actually would prefer the Cl to only have champions in it but it is not going to happen.

maybe i need to change my approach but i actually believe we now have a very very good squad that could be a truly great team over the next five years and beyond with the right next manager and correct signings.

IT IS A GREAT TIME TO BE A SPURS FAN :grin:

It'll b greater when 'arry is gone!

A good season by my standards, not yet great...

The CL has been a lovely ride, but is really the spoils of last season's labour and currently I would classify last season as our best, but then we aren't finished with this one just yet.

Why last year? Because we achieved what people said we were capable of finally... we broke the top 4 stranglehold and looked set to push on.

This season we have yet to really achieve... we have had some great nights and one off performances, but as yet I would say this year isn't as yet better as last.

Of course, somehow win tonight and grab 4th from under Man City's noses and we're really cooking with gas.

New format....CL for Winners of the 3 domestic trophies. Might make the trophies more competetive then.

Or have a new domestic Premier league trophy and take EPL sides out of the League cup.

Top two in CL and then the EPL CUP winner and also the FA Cup winner.

As you can tell, these ideas are at the very early design stages

EDIT, as for the squad...had we bought Carrol, we would be in the top 2.[/quote]

as long as the runners up dont go through on defasult. would mean only barca and madrid from spain every season LOL

totally agree although we shopuld have his under study in wickham on board for the future.

I guess it's cos its Spurs I would say if we go out tonight and dont get 4th (i dont think we will btw) it has not been a great season. A fun one of course but not great.

Yet if I heard a scum complain I would laugh in their face as they have had a good season. Still in with a shout of winning the prem and a wembley final. Yet they would probably say they have had a bad season.

Its all in the eye of the beholder. Its a good stepping stone season that hopefully we can build on.

We're in virtually the same position as we were this time last year, with some very similar games to play (Chelski, the Scum and of course City themselves). Tevez could well be out for a while, we all know how City can slump, and going on Saturday's game, we're playing bloody well again and have a real crack at it. I'm not normally the most optimistic of fans, but we really, really can do it again.

Possibly, I just don't feel we're as consistent as last year, very patchy and our entire team is a little shy in front of goal (across the season).

Still too early to call it, but I had a better feeling last year than I do currently.

That being said, it has still been a good year.

It is no joke that Harry shouyld have done better....with the wealth of player that we possess...we can go further (*note that I write this BEFORE our fantastic 5-0 thrashing of 'little' Real).
I am sure that, if one of the top Eurp Bosses had a squad like that at WHL, he (or she) would have taken us as far...and possibly (probably) further? That said....barring the idiocy of Crouch, we should have been looking at a 1 or 2 goal deficite for tonbights game...and, in the case we could have had SF dreams, along side Manure? Sadly....we are somewhere between the Rock..and the Hard place...but....WHL was not built in a Day....and CL Qualification needs to be won, either way, from our EPL finishing position.....I feel that Harry was not astute enough to battle with the best, in Europe, but....so far so 'bloody' good? Tonight will be a game to savour and let's enrole of the Multi-Cultural God/Allah/ Crisna.....WHOever we can 'chat with.....oooh and keep those fingers and toes crossed....? Here we go Guys and Gals COYS!
