My older brother supported Spurs and I thought my dad did too, turned out he supports West Ham. Thank god I didn't know him too well growing up eh?? Cos I would hate to grow up a bitter and twisted spammer.
One of my earliest childhood memories is watching Spurs on terrestial tv, I used to fall asleep as I couldn't stay awake for the whole 90.
Anyway win or lose I love this club, my wife laughs and sometimes gets annoyed at the passion I show for the team. I can't explain it too her, but all I know is that Spurs is in my blood, always will be!
Division 2 fixture against Burnley
I think we won 3 - 0 and I remember John Pratt scoring as my dad threw me in the air.
I remember the smell of the burgers, the creaking of the wooden stand, the stamping of the feet on the wood when we had a corner..... The claxons, The hats, The stuff of legends.
That day will never leave me. I still have the ticket and programme. Ticket price £1.60.....a that was for a seat.
My dad is Spurs and my earliest memory was watching Spurs on a Black and White TV back in the late 70's. Those lillywhite shirts were so rock and roll! . Had to wait till 1981/2 for my first visit to The Lane.
I was 8 or 9 years old and Spurs were on the TV playing in the League Cup Final of 1972 or 73 I think i grew up in Wembley and i actually live practically across the road from the stadium...funny thing was the first match i ever went too was an Arse match...but it was so exciting i don't even remember who they played.
