Loved this season in PL, but atrocious season in Europe. Hence, where we can go is to become a solid, sustainable team constantly doing well in CL/EL, and picking up the odd trophy. FFS Shitchester Disunited is about to reach the EL final. There is no excuse that it's them and not Spurs.

Really it was just one poor game in Europa, and then Dele's red - that was the entirety of our Europa League this season. If Dele does not see red, then we probably have as good a chance as any to be in the finals. But he did, so we were out.

Exactly, we didn't even last one game without being shit in EL this season. Twist it however you want it, the European part of this season was shite, folly and ridden of stupidity. Hence, a good place to start improving (although nobody within the club really cares).

League will be a stretch next year at Wembly. Next season priority goes to European football and the cups for me... season after in the new ground we can take a pop at the title again.

I only read the first couple of lines, come up noticeably short. We drew a few too many games we should have won during an indifferent patch around the CL group stages, period. If we won a few of those games we win the league, tight margins, bitter pill to swallow. Hammers won their CL final last night! Just need to continue to improve. To Dare is to do!

That's what I think as well, every single team that turns up at Wembley to play us will be playing like it's a cup final, we are going to struggle there, we haven't got a great record at Wembley anyway, our focus needs to be on the cups, trying to win silverware, I genuinely think we are going to have to fight for top four next season, not the title.

Frankly, that's my biggest worry after this season though, failing to win a trophy again and the knock in confidence that will come with it from players and fans and teams willing to pay our top players more money than we currently do and offer them the chance of trophies and our players knowing we have to play at Wembley next season, which as it stands, is a real negative for a lot of them, I just worry it might put the fear in a few of them and they might have their heads turned, I get the impression it wouldn't take a lot for a few of them, if they even have a slight suspicion we may be going backwards I think they would be off in a shot, even Kane has said that he is happy at spurs as long as we are "moving in the right direction" but he has also made it clear he wants to win trophies, these are warning signs imo.

I can't imagine us building a new stadium is going to be enough for some of our players, certainly not enough for them to wait around and see if we fall completely flat next season when they could be off somewhere else getting double the wages they are getting here and for probably half the work considering how notoriously hard our training is.

I mean it's all guess work at the moment but I really wouldn't be surprised at all,

That's the consequence of not going for the title, if a team like Utd are struggling to get into the top four let alone challenge for the title then that I think there's a valid excuse there somewhere.

I'm pretty sure none of the players are thinking like you ;)

None of us know what they are thinking, they are human just like all of us. It's just my opinion, I am likely wrong but you just never know do you?
No one knows what they're thinking which is why none of us are guessing, it's utterly pointless.
Your guess of what they're thinking is just the worst case scenario, it says more about your outlook than anything else.

Right, so because I stay on the side of caution when it comes to the notoriously fickle business that is professional football that is a bad thing?

You're right, it is utterly pointless guessing but so is having an opinion on anything in football because it's all completely unpredictable.

It was a shame to lose last night but I'm still thrilled that we can finish 2nd, highest position since I've been supporting Spurs since 1978. Where do we go from Here? Hopefully we crack on and win it next year.

I watched that clip someone posted yesterday with Thierry Henry interviewing HK and towards the end HK actually did say something along the lines of 'I really want to be winning a trophy in the next 3 years' which also sounded like a personal marker for when he might re-evaluate his situation. So yes, I agree with you, it is a subtle warning sign. And hopefully we do win something within the next 3 years otherwise I would not be surprised at all if he gets itchy feet and does a Bale too.
