Bent deserves a better look. I personally think he could do Keene's job better than Keene. Maybe. In any case, he knows how to score goals.

Correction, and not just correcting you DC, but the whole media who seem to try and big up the Premiership so much. The Premiership is NOT the best league in the world. It has possibly the best 3 clubs in the world at the moment, but the rest of the teams are of average quality when compared to the other clubs in the various leagues in Europe. UEFA CUp is a prime example. Thats why i say if you look at it as a whole, its diffciult to say that the Premiership is the best.

So which is better? I'm with DC on this one - three of four in the champs league semis kinda says it all to me

So what happened to the supposed mass clear out of all the dead wood we have? there has got to be £10-£15M worth of it at the club.............
Are we set to sign the reported 6 or 7 players as reported by several people?
Where is all the ££££££££££ coming from if we dont clear out the Gardners and Bents of the club?
2 decent first team players signed if Santos does go through, what position will they play in next year?
I somehow don't think our finances this window rely on the sale of our also-rans. They'll fetch us a nice player between them. Bent btw, is not for sale imo.

Hi Yuri :) Correction corrected :) It is the best lge in the world. The CL this season is the main proof - and who knocked out the prem clubs that didn't make the final - why prem clubs -

Though I agree that the power of the big 4 make it one of the most boring far too often and the Sky circus, which I detest, makes it ridiculously over-hyped

But still the fans keep turning up and tuning in

If we check the attendances and incomes

I believe the football league now gets more spectators than Serie A let alone the Prem

I would imagine that of the major leagues only germany tops ours attendance-wise (and maybe they don't) - but when it comes to gate money we're the tops - and my bet is we also have the most income overall

the league is watched by billions all round the world - AFAIK more people watch the prem globally than any other lge

Yes the UEFA Cup was poor last season for the Prem - but historically we've done well in it and I see no reason to think that we won't be putting in a stronger challenge this season with the likes of us Everton etc

The Prem is FULL of the best players....but most are not even European...never mind English. It bodes well for the future of European football COYS!

Ahhh Lol.

There's not that many players we need to get rid of. Lee will go, simply because we have better left backs, and he is clearly not rated. He's not a bad player.
Stalteri is again not terrible, but we have better right backs. More than good enough for Fulham.
Gardner is premiership standard, but again we have better.
Rocha will go simply because he does not seem to be rated by our manager.
Tainio will go unless he's happy to sit on the bench.
Robinson will only go if he's not willing to fight for a place. I think he might and I'm not convinced we'll find a better goalkeeper than him. A few mistakes have erased the memories of fickle fans.
Chimbonda will only go if he's not happy being number 2. Hutton is better but suddenly Chimbonda is a crap player with an attitude according to some (wrong) fans.

We need to shrink the squad down once Ramos has the players he wants but it's daft to say players like Bent are leaving. Bent is a top class striker...
