Guessing he wasn't in Italy, isn't in LA. A couple seasons ago, he was with the first team in preseason playing the likes of Barcelona. I don't get why he's not with the first team, future with the club or not. Must be on his way out?

When I saw him against Shaktar Donetsk many moons ago I was pretty impressed. Looked confident, thought there was talent.

He's done well at Yeovil but not exactly blown the league to pieces. At the very least we seem to be giving him a good chance of continuing his pro career, if not with us then at least in the leagues, which is something we have struggled with over the last twenty years

Never understood why we extended his contract, he has looked absolute garbage every time I have seen him play. Furthermore, most of his loans have resulted in fans of the said team, calling him all kinds of derogative things mostly about how it is an abomination that he is a professional footballer. Yeovil is the only marginally decent patch he has had..

On his way to the conference, not good enough! Would like to see Townsend get a run of games myself, the one player from the reserves that i think has what it takes.

From what I've seen he's extremely limited. I can barely see him cutting it as a pro, let alone in the Premier League.

We've helped the lad a lot, all those loan spells at Yeovil should see him get into their hall of fame one day!

Seriously though, League 1 is probably the height of his potential based on his performances out on loan in recent years so i am surprised to hear he has had a contract extension. Given our striker shortages if he had a chance of progressing to the first XI surely he could have been on the TOUR ROSTER to LA
