Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows any good pubs to watch the game in tonight in Leeds as I am staying here for a few nights.

I am right in the city centre

There are a lot of pubs but I am just wondering if anyone knows any decent ones that alot of spurs fans go in,

cheers

Lots of Spurs fans in Harrogate and Sheffield but not so sure about Leeds. Should be pretty neutral support I guess so I'd just go for the nearest sports pub.

Drop a pm to Kendall, he'll know. You might not get a response though as he is in Oz do potentially asleep.

The Library, student pub... £1 a pint on Mondays... (On Otley Road on Hyde Park right next door to the Leeds Uni campus)... there're usually a few yids in there but it'll be fairly 5/10/85 Spurs/Scouse/People not giving a shit just interested in cheap beer

Else if you're looking for somewhere a bit more upmarket Shooters Sports Bar in town... expensive, but bang in the middle of town on the Headrow (by the townhall and near the station/transport)...

Dry Dock next to the Met campus, like Library but not pound a pint on Mondays (still cheap tho) although they might have the commentary off in favour of loud rock music...

O'neils, on Brigate right next to train station... Walkabout next door to O2 academy... all pretty standard places...

Can give you more help if you're more specific where in Leeds you are/what exactly you're after... you're not gonna find a big concentration of yids anywhere (unfortunately)...

Oh, and if you do go to the Library and see me, I apologise in advance for the person I'll be with... I know he's an idiot, I know him from work, he supports Liverpool... and he's an idiot.

Opal 3... is that the big skyscraper full of Chinese people? If so then yes, you're a 5 minute walk away from Dry Dock/Walkabout... Walkabout will def have it on with commentary but is a shit hole and probably be pretty dead... no idea how much drinks cost there, think it's pretty cheapish tho... Dry Dock is the boat in the middle of the roundabout next to Leeds Met, you can't miss it... much much better atmosphere, even if it's empty it'll be ok, whereas when Walkabout's empty it's EMPTY. The only problem is that if it is quite busy n not that many people are watching the footy they might stick the jukebox on, which would usually be dominated by rock/metal... which I don't mind, although it's been refurbed recently and they're trying to move away from the rock/metal scene... so it might be even worse and you might be watching us lose to Liverpool soundtracked by The Saturdays and Florider... drinks start at about £2.10 a pint... The Library... costs a quid to get in but yeah, from 7-1am its £1 pint (of Tennents, ew) or £1 bottle of Becks... and various other similar drinks offers... commentary will 99% be on and plenty of TVs and if you arrive before KO it'll be easy enough to get a seat... it's up the Otley Road from Dry Dock, go beyond Parkinsons steps (the front of uni) and it's at the next big junction.

Take your pick. Enjoy. And yeah I'll be in the Library, feel free to say hi, but yeah, I've got to humour my scouse workmate

Shooters is usually decent atmosphere for the bigger matches, probs be mostly scouse tho... and a fair few suits who've come straight from work... haven't been there in a while tho so I might be wrong... drinks start at around £2.80 from memory...

As for being able to watch the game properly, I watch most Monday night games there and I've never had a problem, the students don't usually start arriving until a bit later, by which point the sports fans tend to have monopolised the decent seats

ooo. well this just got saucy... I'm currently wearing a black t-shirt that says 'The Living End' on it, and will probably be wearing a navy Spurs scarf and camo hoody by the time I can be arsed to leave the house... I'll leave it up to your imagination what I'm wearing beneath it

There is the Drysalters pub which is about a ten minute walk away from the ground. On my last visit it had a good mix of home and away supporters, real ale and large screen SKY TV. To find this pub; with the Old Peacock pub behind you, turn left and follow the road down to the very end. Pass the entrances to a number of car parks and go under a railway bridge. At the end of the road, turn left along the dual carriageway and the pub is a short way down 'tucked in' on the left. Otherwise alcohol is served within the ground in the form of draught Becks Vier or Boddingtons.

Just a few doors down from the Old Peacock pub (which is behind the South Stand and is not recommended for away supporters) is the Graveleys chippy, which does brisk business on matchdays. There is also a McDonalds outlet situated across the road from the East Stand.

never been to Leeds, I just hit the:
