He lurks occasionally but mostly he can be found in his cupboard under the stairs righting a sequel to his epic - details of which may be found on the front page, available at all good bookshops (and some seedy grotty ones too..)

Yeah, Ally was probably the best thing about coming here. Not that it's completely rubbish anyway, but he was what separated us from the other sites.

I'm still around guys. Always keeping an eye. As my nephew said, I am a snowed under family man nowadays and I have indeed just written another book - not a sequel to Ode to Jol. It's being released in Holland first in Dutch and then hopefully in England later in the year. As Rolf occasionally said, can you guess what it is yet?

The main reason I haven't been able to keep up the SC article writing is that among my freelance journo work, I write a fair bit for the Spurs magazine. Unfortunately, that meant I had to give up my rather opinionated website articles on the club - biting the hand that feeds the children and all that. I'm not happy about it, but I can't afford to be the rebel on this occasion.

Anyway there are some excellent articles going up on the front page in my absence. I think the site's going from strength to strength. Hopefully I can contribute properly again in the not too distant future.

Congrats on the new book - is it about Mariju-porno-ana?
