I like Sidwell, but he wouldn't offer us much and he deserves full playing time elsewhere. Only one from that list I'd take is Barry if he's willing to stay at a big club but for less playing time. Don't see him being willing to that though.

I think Lescott could be a decent option. Experience premier league centre back but it would depend on wages. Even though Barry is a decent player, it isn't an area we need to strengthen in.

Honestly, I think the single only player on the list that would walk into our starting lineup is Cole. It seems that most of the discussion is asking who among these guys could still contribute, especially in terms of experience. Barry's experience in particular would be quite beneficial, even if he isn't first choice.

Julian Speroni maybe, as a back up keeper. And Samuel Eto'o of course.

Only Ashley Cole so far. Maybe Lescott. Barry is a good player but doesn't fit in anywhere for us.

Without question Ashley Cole and pay him anything he wants..he is world class.

I would also take Eto'o and Rio Ferdinand.

All three are winners.

Wouldn't take Eto'o too old. If he was actually 33 maybe but I doubt it. Ferdinand and Cole yes, but doubt we could afford their wages. Ferdinand would have to prove his fitness.

Eto'o is still very fit and I would still take him on a free, but yes in the past some African players age have been disputed (not all, though Kanu was well older than he claimed, Falcao of Monaco has been muted too)

Ashley Cole would absolutely improve our squad and almost definitely walk into our first team. But I still do not want to see his ****y ****ish **** face anywhere near a Spurs badge. Watching him wear our colors would make me sick. Maybe I am naive but there is still a bit of romance in football for me. No to Cole.

Wasn't Pantilimon a decent backup keeper? Could be worth a punt. Or Westwood from Sunderland.
I would be against Cole (in terms of ability, not so much as a person), Lescott, and potentially Etoo, purely if that's the market we we're shopping in.

Even if Cole is like, 100 times better then Rose he hasn't been very good last couple of seasons. I'd take him if it was him or Rose, even tho I can't stand the man.

Lescott might be interesting, much rather him then Ferdinand. Rio is not good at all anymore.

Barry and Fat Frank could do a job for us, but we're pretty overloaded on the middle.

Cole, Lescott, Eto'o, and Speroni; the first three are winners and leaders (desperately needed) and fill problematic position in the squad, while Speroni would make a very good back-up keeper. Would also look at Barry if we end up selling anyone in midfield (i.e. Capoue or Dembele).
