I would have actually preferred it if Newcastle still had a chance. They would have been more nervy and forced to attack us (and we can be devastating on the counter).

Now I fear we have a situation where Poch has told the players finishing above Arsenal is no big deal and where the Newcastle players can have a Premier League swansong and play without fear (and no doubt some will be trying to put themselves in the shop window.

Sadly I can't see us winning there. A draw is as good as it gets, which would be good enough for us to stumble over the line to 2nd place.

Wonder if Poch is in there at half time telling the players not to stress because finishing above Arsenal isn't important? I seriously think one major problem in football is that the people in football have completely lost touch with the fans....

I was just thinking about how much of a bogey team Newcastle really are for us.

As well as Sunday, there was the 7-1 and another thrashing I think. Plus at home they've beaten us quite a few times, including Martins scoring a hat trick iirc. And of course there was an FA Cup semi final at Old Trafford which I went to.

Hope the fuckers and their man boob fans stay in the Championship for many years to come.

Was anyone else in a place called Revolution just after midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning when a sustained chant of "Yid Army" broke out?
