Villa, Bournemouth, Norwich

Like Bournemouth to stay up but think they will end going down. Wouldn't be totally surprised to see Swansea being in the mix as well.

Sunderland, Norwich, and Villa.

Slight change from my pre-season prediction of Sunderland, Norwich, and Bournemouth.

Credit to Bournemouth though, I thought they were done for sure with all the long-term injuries to key players and they also were getting some really unlucky calls/no-calls at the beginning of the year. Looks like could actually scrape through.

If Bournemouth do stay up (I too went with Villa, Sunderland and Norwich to drop) there's potentially a very good strike partnership in Afobe and Wilson.

Villa and Norwich look like going down. I can't work out who else though. It should be Sunderland, but they keep sneaking out of relegation and I kind of hope WBA go down after the fuss they've made about Berahino.

Newcastle for sure unless their new signings can gel really quickly!
Villa & Norwich

I would like West Brom to go down because they gave Tony Pulis a job. I can't quite put my finger on it but I've never had any time for them. Always seems to be a bunch of cloggers playing for them, regardless of who's in charge. Is it me or is there something highly unfashionable about them?

Think Fat Sam will save Sunderland they should have beaten City the other night and I think they have enough fire power to do enough to survive. Newcastle however look in serious trouble as do Norwich, Villa just LOL

I've always felt the same. For me the "fashionable" Brummie clubs are Villa and Wolves, while Birmingham and WBA pretty much always strike me as "unfashionable" wanker clubs with horrible managers (not that the other two haven't had their fair share of those in recent years).

I feel sorry for Newcastle fans, to be honest. Fabulous stadium, huge attendances, a fanbase comprised of what I perceive to be working class people who live for football, and usually got some lively players.

McLaren relegating Newcastle would be about as large an achievement as Ranieri winning the league.

Villa are gone

Sunderland like pretty doomed but they have goals in Defoe and a manager in big sam who will get them working hard and hard to beat, they will pick up points and may do enough to survive, that said I voted for them as the second team for the drop

I think Newcastle have spent their way out of danger, they've got more than enough to stay up and I think they will do so in unspectacular fashion and inspite of McClaren, but stay up none the less

Norwich I think are a decent team and I think Bournemouth have shown themselves hard working and effective

So my third team is Swansea. Although only because I think every year one team who looks to be good enough to stay up ends up getting dragged in to deep waters and drowned. They've got enough quality in Sig and Ayew to stay up but Shelvey will be a loss and Gomis seems to be well off the boil and I hear from a swansea fan he's a disruptive influence who wants out , so I think they could struggle

They actually seemed to be moving in the right direction for a while, mainly under Hodgson and Clarke, but it's gone backwards in the last few seasons.

I just think they've shot themselves in the foot over Berahino. They keep going on about his attitude, but he scored three goals in the five leagues games straight after the transfer window shut in the summer showing that he was still going to perform for the team. Then they drop him for ages and say he's not fit. I can't think of many players that get fitter by not playing. I know his tweet was stupid, but you either sell him, or play him, not screw the team by doing neither.

They did look good against City I've always thought that they weren't good enough defensively, but Sam seems to have addressed that during this window. Any team with Defoe in it will have a chance to score goals. I'm just not sure which other side will be worse than them.

Jesus, I forgot Hodgson used to be there. Was he poached by Liverpool or did he run his contract down?

Villa are obviously screwed, they're just lucky it won't be a record breaking relegation.

Norwich look shaky to me, think they'll continue to fall off.

Come the end of the season I think Newcastle will scrape through and Sunderland will go down. Swansea I think will start to pick up under Guidolin, he's a talented manager with a talented group of players at his disposal.

Villa are gone and have been playing like they are already relegated since before Christmas

I'd love Chelsea to go down, but realistically that's not going to happen, So I'm going to go for Sunderland and Newcastle

The club is in dire straits largely because of their idiot fans who spent so much time bitching and whining that their manager let them in mid table for a relegation struggler just to get away from them.

They had a nice little thing going. An owner who was investing money in the right kind of players from value markets, a manager who was a bit of a twat - was never going to overachieve but who at least knew how to manage clubs on limited resources.

They are a horrible bunch of wankers up there, and throughout history (since I've been going to football) they were nowhere near as loyal or dedicated as Sunderland and Middlesboro fans.
