chance to give the kids more experience, if he takes it, and to try to stop the scum from landing a European pot

At our best we are easily good enough to win the EL. Problem is we haven't been anywhere near our best at all this season.

I think we would take the competition seriously if we dropped down. It's an opportunity to shake off the spectre of bottling it in Europe year after year after year and finally get our hands on some silverware.

If we manage to round into form (and I am increasingly thinking that will simply not be possible unless we strengthen key areas in January, which seems extraordinarily unlikely) we would have a decent chance.
I can see Chelsea or Arsenal winning it big time, in fact I expect one of them to win it.
Us...nah. Maybe last eight at a push.

Let's face it, we're not good enough for a crack at CL, in fact we are so, so far from that right now. Moreover, we have not won anything for a long time now (Ten years). Therefore, I am all for having a go at the Europa League. It will be an amazing feat for us to win some sort of silverware and the EL will be just fantastic.
We need to be able to cheer to the feeling of winning a cup of some sort again. Finishing in the top four alone, is just not good enough for us. So why not the EL?

You are kidding right. A mid field of winks, Dembele and sissoko. We’ve done that in cups games and barely scrape through

What? Their all first teamers...that doesn't look anywhere near a "very poor team" he put out there at all.

It's pretty naive to think that this side has anything than an outside chance in EL. This squad is already running on fumes and is in need of desperate for new blood to reinvigerate the fight. That's why i want EL just to play the kids. Skipp, Foyth KWP absolutely need the opportunity to prove they can prove an alternative to a side who have become stale.

Considering we’ve been in Europe for about 10 years straight now our lack of awareness on how to play it is still so bad.

If any other European team had gone down to 10 men with 10 minutes to go in a game they were winning then they would have been using all the shit housing tactics available. A few times before they scored they fouled us but instead of staying down, calling for the physio and eating up the clock and killing any momentum we just popped straight back up and looked to get the ball back into play.

The refs in the champions league are a joke yet somehow the refs in th Europa are even worse which is why I don’t fancy our chances of winning it as we just don’t seem able to “play the refs” aswell as the opposition.

1) Winning the Europa League would be our biggest achievement since 1991, and possibly the biggest since 1984.

2) Winning the Europa League will be so much harder than many people realise, so not sure why a lot think we're guaranteed to go far if we try. Arsenal, Chelsea, Lazio and most likely PSG will all be in the knockout rounds with us.

There’s a very strong argument it’s a bigger cup than the FA cup. The whole of Europe watching a final. A manager gets many more plus points for winning it as opposed to FA cup. And obviously it’s a route back in to CL. Absolutely no question for me I’d rather win this than FA cup given the choice this season. Ok it’s a shade diluted from the Uefa cup at group stage. But by time you get to last 16 it’s pretty much same competition. And winning the UEFA cup was one of my first and best memories as a spurs fan.

It's funny the fans bemoan the club for not displaying a winning mentality. Then turn around and want nothing to do with a competition that we at least have a chance of winning

Chelsea and Arsenal are still in the EL along with plenty of other strong clubs.

We're not winning that, it will be a distraction once again.

A distraction from what? Finishing top 4 so we can get knocked out at the group stage again next year?
I'm all for going all out for the Europa and the cups and fucking off the league, even though I know that will never happen and we still wouldn't win any of them anyway.

Relegation beckons, eight of the useful first team will be leaving, three of them to United with Poch.

Won't someone think of the cheese room ...

Exactly, I've said this on many occasion, the fans have a lower mentality, the reality is that some of our fans are legends and they can't even see it lol
