Why keep fooling ourselves?

If we sell Berbatov to another English club then we should stop fooling ourselves from thinking we are a top club!
We are like the local corner shop when Tescos/Sainsburys or Asda move into the area,we may eek out an existence but we will never be successful.
If the deal happens then Levy should just sell the club to the first Russian billionaire he can find, let him pump fortunes into the club because that is the only way we will be able to compete.
If not then we may as well tumble the Lane to the ground and build houses on it.
If Berbatov wants to leave then Spain or Italy must be his only options,no matter how much money we lose on the deal, this will save the club millions in the future because once the fans lose all hope there will be no way back for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club!
Happy New Year everyone!

Surely such a well known footballer such as Berbatov is even making the club cash from merchandising?

Along with his obvious influence in the UEFA cup, FA Cup etc. we are making more mney with him than we would without him.

i think youll find its a press thing they are the ones who keep big'ing us up at the start of every season. and then blame us fans for being fickle when we fail,
as for berbatov he can f*ck off for all i care, one man is not bigger than the club

All this Berba speculation because of what his agent says - perhaps the agent has had a bad year and needs a quick injection of cash - what better way than talking his star asset into a move. ££££££ kerching!

Much that I hate to say it.....I 'may' have to reassess 40 years of SOLID support for Spurs.....IF Levy and his ill fated gang of so called business colleages continue to 'drag' our name through the dirt, through their actions...or lack of actions. That is all said ahead of the Villa game (15 minutes away!) but for any team to dispence with one of their prize assets confirms their long term goal of money ahead of GLORY and that is not for me. I hope that it NEVER comes to that...and that SKY are full of their usual 'shite' when they announce Berby's imminant departure to 'whomever'. It is another important period in our history. I am afraid which was we are headed....COYS!

His contract is until 2010. We don't need to sell. We don't want to sell.End of story.

The problem is that we are a big club in the history of english football, but not a big club in recent history.

In Brazil right now Corinthians have just been relegated to the 2nd division. Despite the fact that they are the most successful brazilian club ever, have solid financial backing and investment (a rarity here in Brazil) and have the most promising and talented player in Brazil in their team right now (Lulinha).

We are not in the position right now to be able to attract and hold on to great players easily. But it does not mean that we cannot consider ouselves a big club and it aso means that we can be back at the top again, given some time and support.

If Levy goes back on his word then it isn't. If he keeps his word which so far he is doing then it is.

We had started to progress i think ramos is a good tactician because is changes things early but for levy to come out and say we are not going to panic buy in january when our defence is so poor and it is not just one position its about three.
lee is weak cannot cross, kaboul is really overated and chimbonda is not consistent enough.
Why does levy not want to buy someone the reasons

i am manager of thfc i see the following facts.
1 league form poor cannot get into europe
2 we are in a semi final of 1 cup
3 Last 32 in europe
4 Home draw in fa cup

Defence poor buy two players at the back end up winning a cup into europe league form improves.

Levy as chairman looks at the next 10 fixtures sees we are sold out no more extra revenue coming in liable for a bit of stick but he can cope.
Season ends with no trophies and scrapping for an inter toto position or relegation.
He writes a lovely letter in the match programe for the fianl game see u next season and it all starts again.
What i would love to know is who bought Darren bent when this was not an area we needed to strengthen
As for the Berbatov issue would he get away with his sulks at the other clubs? they are all stars there.
How often would he play at man south united
Well done to ramos for giving jamie ohara a start maybe next pekhart
