It would change my perception. My perception would certainly be changed as I applauded the team on the open top bus on Tottenham High Road.So can Wigan, Portsmouth etc. Wouldn’t change perceptions of us.

It’s important in my wider scheme.Fair enough but that’s personal to you, it’s not important in the wider scheme.
If it's all about the "process", surely there has to be an end result to said process.
The only conclusions I can muster, the idea is to keep improving, follow the process if you will, end result should see us start to win the trophies we yearn.
Failure to reach this point, have we followed the process, or was the process flawed.
We can follow the process all we like but if teams like City can come in, spend hundreds of millions and dominate, is that our failing?
Exactly my point, we can follow a process, keep improving, doesn't stop us getting blown away by money clubs, process followed, but will only serve us so far until money starts to influence once more.
It's no real surprise is it that the richer clubs in the league tend to win the trophies.
Yes but in most cases they became the richest clubs by winning trophies. Obviously there are exceptions.
Chicken and Egg to me mate.
No way the likes of City and Chelsea became rich clubs based on their cup winning prowess.
As i said there are obvious exceptions.
Progressing to what? What is the ultimate goal?True. But I’d be happy to be in the CL every year and get to later stages of cup competition as long as we are progressing. Winning the league cup or the Europa league are pretty irrelevant to me.
They became rich clubs because business men saw their potential to win major trophies not just qualify for the champions league. Champions league qualification is now the minimum for those clubs.Chicken and Egg to me mate.

But you did say exceptions.
Yes, and if not for their money, we may well of followed the process and won the feckin league.

And if we had had regular champions league and trophies we would be one of the rich clubs. Not utd level but a lot closer.
I agree with you, in fact, I'd say well below average. You may well be right. Doesn't alter my thought that they were average pre money.
