Its understandable to see the last remaining pro Sherwood guys reacting like this. Declarations like the one from Sandro are only confirming what we all "anti Sherwood" fans suspected all along and that has got them pissed off and confused, so they are now turning against Sandro (one of the most beloved players on the team by both players and fans) because they somehow can't accept what a disgrace Sherwood has turned out to be.
To be honest I really, for the life of me, don't understand what anyone pro-Sherwood finds good in him.

Anyone would have brought Ade back in the frame, why wouldn't they? He's played Bentaleb and I do think he'll be a good player, but even that was handled poorly, at first overplaying him and now dropping him to play Chadli in central midfield which is baffling.

He's been at the club since December and he has yet to find a system or personnel he likes. Our players are not bad, despite his moaning. A good manager will get them playing a lot better than they are now. He seemingly hasn't coached a single thing into the players, apart from the start where he wanted tempo, although that seems to have gone out of the window now. It seems his main footballing philosophy is "don't give up at 3-0" and "put an honest shift in". Jaw-dropping stuff.

Sandro has always shown that he needs time and playing time to get into his groove (especially when back from his injury lay offs)......and be the Beast that most of the Spurs supporters have come to love. He had just came back from another injury not long ago......if he does not get game time consistently, im pretty sure that the team will not be able to reap the reward of having the beast playing at his best for the team.

Dig into Tim, but he's right. Sandro has been awful since that injury, completely lost his pace and relies on petty fouls to stop opposition mids running through us.

I'm not even pro-Sherwood, but you people spend your whole lives lamenting players who don't play well enough getting picked, and then you shoot-down our manager for deciding that an under-performing DM won't get picked.

There was some ITK when Timbo took over that a lot if people would be unhappy about some of the players he didn't really rate. I said at the time I thought Sandro would be one, and so it would seem

Such a shame that absolutely nothing about him suggests he would know a good player if they branded "I'm a good player" on his forehead. I can't think of a single person that gives a flying fuck about his opinion, so it's unlikely that our players do.

It's Levy I'm more pissed off with over this farce. It's like getting a shoe salesman to fix your plumbing. The guy is obviously clueless. Even a half-fit Sandro would offer more to the team than playing Siggy, Chadli (who I rate), Paulinho, or Bentaleb in midfield. Levy might as well have hired David Baddiel, for all the good it's done to lift the atmosphere at the club.

I was around in the George Graham years, and this is the first 'manager' I've genuinely developed a severe dislike towards...and I won't forget that Levy is the one that put him in that position.

In fact, the petty fouls are often not even intentional, he is just so off the pace that he misses his tackles completely. Capoue has been far better than him in their playing time this season.

He's been at the club for alot longer than since December, mate. Its been like 3 or 4 years since Harry brought this cancer back to the club.

Also, disgusting to see the pro sherwood crowd act like this toward Sandro. Pitiful. I cant wait to hear their bitching and moaning when Dum Dum Dim is finally forced out of the club.

Firstly can we please stop referring to sherwood as a cancer. It's overboard.

Sandro is a very good player but if he is not doing it in matches (which he hasn't) and isn't doing it in training (which he apparently isn't) then why should he play? Sherwood has no reason to drop him unless he doesn't feel he is up to it at the moment. His comments about not bring good enough referred to recent performances not generally as a footballer.

Re the media. Sandro didn't need to go in twitter, but he did. Sherwood was asked the question and gave the straight answer.

Sandro's been shit this year, always injured, not looking fit when playing.

However always dicking around on some form of TV.

He needs to show more effort in football than the ego, appreciate he is a fan favourite ( as was bea), but us spurs fans often pick shit players as fans favourites!

No one is shooting down Sherwood because he isn't picking Sandro, people are shooting him down because he has made a habit of speaking crap about our players in front of the reporters. What good can possibly come from this behaviour of his (other than his imminent sacking, that is ;) ).

Sherwood is quite malignant though.

I've just watched the interview.

Seriously, 9 pages of moaning over that.. what he said was fine. Any other manager says that, and it's a pat on the back, everything he said was fine. He isn't in the time because he isn't good enough at the moment.

Pretty embarrassing really (from the fans more than Tim), we fans moan about everything, but if a player ain't putting it in the training ground, he don't play - no player should get in the team on merit.

The team won 3-1, end of.

Its worth adding, I'm not pro-tim, or con-tim, I just support the club.

Totally agree. I'm quite ambivalent towards Tim. I've really been put off this site recently because every thread is hijacked by vitriolic comments about Sherwood.

Some of the tantrums over Sherwood's media comments are just embarrassing. Have these lot heard some of the crap mourinho, Wenger and LVG come out with on a regular basis? Managers talk crap, get over it!

I'd like a new manager in the summer so I don't have to read comments from these so called fans anymore

I have got to agree with that. The level of vitriol in some of the comments is a little bewildering. I'm not in some imaginary construct called a "Pro-Tim" or "Anti-Tim" brigade or some such silly and dramatic title; I just want the club to do as well as possible. But damn, do other clubs fans act like ours do, or is it a THFC thing? Whenever I've looked at other clubs forums, they seem to have a tendency to big up their players to delusional levels. We spend most of our time whinging about how awful the players, manager, president, phisio, Chirpy, you name it, are. Only the tea lady gets off easy around here.

Now I never really like Sherwood too much, and wasn't thrilled at his appointment, but damn, a "cancer"? I don't know about you, but I like to get judged on my performance in some kind of quantitative way, rather than vague impressions. And he's got 1.9 ppg since he's come, that's really the only thing that matters - that's not bad. Not quite good enough for CL this year though. But hardly a disgrace - only a little less than Manager-of-the-year candidate Martinez. It might not be as good as we hoped, or good enough to keep his job, but to call it catastrophic is frankly ridiculous.

As to the Sandro incident, I love Sandro, but he simply hasn't been playing well. Tim could have put it a different way, and tried to clarify himself after, but damn, is this such a big scandal? I can just imagine all those ersatz fans who must gleefully wring their hands in anticipation at us getting thumped, for the imaginary pain it inflicts on Sherwood, and then coming on here and whinging about how shit we are anyway, when the team he picks and coaches run out easy winners.

Not generally about their own team, and certainly not about individual players.

Sandro was daft saying anything on Twitter, but Sherwood made it worse by saying he isn't currently 'good enough'. A good manager simply wouldn't say that.

Why wouldn't a good manager say that? Asking him to up his level in training to match his teammates isn't sacrilege in my opinion. His comments are justified. If sandro is stupid enough to tweet that then he should man up when Sherwood explains why he didn't select him. Why is everyone so touchy?

The proof will be in sandros response in training. Maybe this will do the trick? Maybe I'll just get burned alive on here for my views?
