I'll admit I didn't see the Blackburn game but I'm sorry against Boro he was totally anonymous. I agree with your general view on him that he does alot of work that people don't notice, but Boro repeatedly walked through our midfield in that game and that was because both JJ and Zokora were doing absolutely nothing and they were then supplemented by Huddlestone who did less than nothing. To be honest when you're completely outplayed by George Boateng you know you're having a bad day.

I think JJ is a good player but since the cup final he's been practically anonymous and I really dislike that about him. Of the three I hope he's the one that stays, but I think his form recently means he shouldn't play today.

that would be my team too! Robbo well he should just go now. Would love to see Tainio be given a half decent chance as DM, however the only change I would make would be Berba I would drop him and keep Keane in as I would like to see how he and Bent would work together. But with thhe team that is written above I think we would have a very good chance of winning as long Zoko Pops and his dancing partnet Chimbo don't play I'll be happy!

That team selection is pathetic. OK, that's a bit strong... but come on! Why is Jamie playing at LB once again over Wipey OR Gilly? Why are both Dawson and Zokora (out of position) playing in defence over Kaboul? Why the hell hasn't Bent been given a start?

It annoys me :-(

Oh dear.

Against Heskey and Bent we could be in trouble.

Would've liked to see Bent start...

If Valencia is playing wide right for Wigan, I'm damn pleased Gilberto isn't our LB. Even in the reserve match against the goons, he looked petrified when a player ran at him. He is very composed on the ball, so I think it's LM or bust for Gilberto (unless the opposition have zero threat coming down our left flank).

The bigger question may be why isn't YP Lee at LB? And the answer is presumably that Juande sees no future for him at Spurs, and would rather give O'Hara more first-team experience (albeit in a position he's never going to play apart from in an emergency).

Poor old Teemu must also be counting the days to the opening of the transfer window.

Re: Kaboul. Maybe Woodgate dropped out late and Kaboul didn't travel. Note that Rocha is on the bench.

Re: Kaboul. Maybe Woodgate dropped out late and Kaboul didn't travel. Note that Rocha is on the bench.

Which begs the question why the out of favour Rocha travelled instead of Kaboul.

A thoroughly depressing team selection, and the absence of Woodgate apart, near enough what I predicted.

I am beginning to think that Ramos is just treading water until the season ends.

And Gilberto is now officially the new Danny Murphy.

Come to think of it, it begs the question why at this stage in the season a certain departure like Rocha is on the bench rather than a youngster like Archibald-Henville or Dervitte.

Re Kaboul: it suggests the rumours that he will be transferred to anywhere from Pompey (maybe a Diarra swap to avoid any goon complaints?) to Juventus have some legs.

Pre-season is probably make or break for Gilberto.

It also suggests that there is a core of about 14 players (today's team plus Woodgate, King, Bent and minus Cerny) that Ramos is still assessing for next season. The rest - including the likes of Teemu - are history.

Woodgate pulling out late so neither A-H nor Dervitte travelled?
