Guys don't forget the reason Townsend left the club.

It was his decent to staff.

It wasn't just down to his ability.

Selling Townsend to Palace & then buying Zaha from them at the end of the window would be a stroke of bloody genius! I would be delighted to see this one go through, but pretty sure Spurs would have to pay a lot more for Winifried's services than the numbers quoted in the beeb.

Amazed at the negative posts in this thread. He is already better than Townsend and could be a great addition to our squad, sure he has things to work on -but all of our players do. If they were all brilliant they wouldn't be with us -they would be with bale and modric in madrid

I think it's fair to say Poch will not be around that long should this be the plan.
Oh I think Poch will be around atleast until the stadium is complete at a absolute minmum. And then? He'd be foolish to have done all the spade work only for another Manager to come in and reap what his sown. I'm pretty sure United were very interested in signing before Mourinho. What his involved in at WHL is something only a few clubs can offer. It's the excitement of what is to come. Young squad, new stadium, decent league form.

15m is a crap bid, let's be honest. Guaranteed to automatically be rejected. In their mind, Bolasie set the benchmark. Zaha for half that? Don't think so.

I am encouraged that the Palace chairman has said he won't be sold. I'm not a fan. Speaking to a Palace fan this morning, it seems he's after a new contract and his agent is probably leading this - maybe playing both sides; my client wants to leave/hey, Spurs, you can get him for 15m.

It'll probably end up with Zaha getting a new contract.

They said on sky sports news before I went to bed that Zaha had told the club he wanted to move to Tottenham
