I'd really like Zaha, but I can just imagine the price tag on his head. Reckon Palace would want somewhere between £70-100m for him, or something ridiculous like that.

Seeing how highly Poch rates Zaha, let's hope this recent ITK is us getting closer to signing him

You know what? Too many people (myself included) have not exactly been overly enthused with our link to Zaha, but that really shouldn't matter. As you say, Poch does appear to rate Zaha very highly & that's what we should really be thinking about.

What we want means fuck all. There's a reason that almost each and every one of us in here shouted in unison "Best signing of the summer" when he signed his new contract last week.

Each and every one of us is also constantly proclaiming "Levy better fucking back Poch or we'll lose him".

So how about we practice what we preach & back the fucker who we're telling our chairman to do all he can to keep.

If Poch rates a player, that'll do for me.

I think I’d be a fan of this signing. He’s improved a lot in the last year or two and possesses some gifts that we lack - pace allied with skill and unpredictability. Showing signs of more end product of recent.

I honestly almost always hate comments along the lines of ‘ if he was called such and such from such and such country people would be creaming themselves ‘ but given his style of play I think it’s a little salient here. Familiarity can breed contempt, he’s a complete flair player, if he was coming out of a mainland European league with a little more mystique around him I think overall comments would be more positive.

It isn’t going to be cheap though. On another note, England must be kicking themselves for letting him fall through the cracks.

ZahaDeleSterling
Kane

Would be a decent attacking nucleus

I'm in. Dark cloud (Martial) might be better as a goalscorer and therefore Kane cover, with a higher ceiling, maybe.

But this guy smiles a lot and is HG. Plus he is less close to Son in style.

Still not convinced, not for the money it would take. He's a star man for Palace but wouldn't be at a higher up club where the expectations are greater. He's already said Palace is his home, and unless a club throws 75-100m at them they will continue to say no. He was the difference between safety, comfortably in the end, and potentially getting relegated, which is worth more to the club than the transfer fee.

Colleague at work is a Palace fan and says Zaha played as a #9 towards the end of the season and scored a load of goals. Can see there being a fair amount of logic in us wanting him (Martial alternative) although I think only City could afford him.

I like Zaha and would be happy if we signed him. He has the air of unpredictability about him, is quick and powerful.

Agree his can still be a bit inconsistent, but maybe he’s ready to step up. Seems to have a good attitude as well.

However, I don’t think we’ll sign him as he seems happy there and the mooted figures for his transfer seem crazy money.

I love Willy (y) capable of moments of magic and really stepped up last season - definitely his most mature showing to date.

I asked my mate who’s a fanatic Palace fan. He said the murmurs are that he’s signed another new deal.

I can really see this one getting done this season.

He won't leave london again. Us. Arse or the chavs will be his next destination.

Zaha will add to our squad no doubt but I believe in Lucas Moura we have a player very similar in terms of dribbling I'd much rather Martial tbh for the simple reason being Martial is more of a goal threat with electrifying pace.

Last season I would have been on the fence about signing Zaha but he has improved in every respect this season. He's always had talent but now he has end product as well. He is one of the few players in the premiership who is unplayable on his day and the only one we could realistically afford.

Levy is not going to overpay for Zaha. We know this. So if Zaha signs for Spurs i'm all for it.

Dribbling perhaps but Zaha has far better end product (mainly goals) as he demonstrated towards the end of this season. I think he would make a great signing and will help take some of the goal scoring burden off Arry.

Just saying Poch also rated Sissoko. and Aurier very highly
