Martial's got good cause. Went there for a big fee and has justified it, yet struggles to start a game in an unenterprising side.

Surprised at Zaha being so desperate to leave Palace. He got dumped back there by United, is their star player, and they gave him a whopping wage. Strikes me as massive ingratitude.
Not hard to figure someone who sees themselves as a top player want to go try it again at the highest level. Especially after getting a taste of it at ManU, wanting to go back and prove yourself in the Champions League and at a top team.

He's done his part to pay back the faith shown in him in my opinion. They brought him back a few years ago and he's been the reason the reason they've survived for the past few years. Probably made them a small fortune in being that man compared to if they'd fallen down into the Championship without his efforts and they get a hefty lump sum once he's sold to help them out.

I think he's done enough to pay them back over the years and if he gets his chance as he reaches his peak years to play at the top level and the fee they receive is good, they should accept it and reinvest/ move on

Really? They are going to be in real relegation danger again this season and have no money to bring in players to mitigate that situation. He is getting older and is putting his body on the line to single-handedly keep them up. You don't understand his desire to leave?

Gratitude has nothing to do with it. They moved to pay him those buck because he was worth it and to stave off our interest...and he is still not their highest paid player, benteke is. Can you imagine how cheesed-off Harry would be if Sissoko was first at the dinner table? And at least he gives his all for us.

I know you cant read into betting odds too much, but, coupled with Herc's latest itk, its worrying to see that Zaha's odds have fallen from 16/1 to 11/10 to sign for Chelsea:unsure:

If I put some money on him going to Chelsea then that should stop that eventuality!

Edit: I haven’t seen ssn yet today but I wonder if it’s them pushing the Chelsea news and then the bookies are reacting to skybet.

Poch thinks Zaha is better than Hazard, Sanchez, Sterling, Sane, Son, Salah, Mane?

Pretty surprising according to Breezers post in ITK thread.

Poch is infatuated with Zaha who more often than not flatters to deceive. Its frightening, to say the least. Poch's choices in transfer windows is almost as poor as his in game management, in all honesty.

Haha you're going to get killed for it but I do think Poch has had to work within a very tight budget over the years. Its clearly not working out as well as it used to and we're having trouble getting the bargain players playing time.

Palace have almost been as quiet in the transfer market as us this summer. I wonder if they need to sell zaha to raise funds.

The only way I can see him going to Chelsea is if they are selling hazard or Willian.

I think they really want to bring Loftus Cheek in permanently. Like Zaha, they probably see an opportunity to get big money for him in the future.

It's been reported that United have a sell-on clause for Zaha. I do wonder if that is still active, and if so, how large it is (this is certainly part of why he is so expensive). Is it possible that we are trying to get around it with involving players, as well (like we did with Vorm)?

Shall we fire him then? That's what you're saying right?

How are we going to keep Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela, Lucas, potentially Zaha and Grealish happy? That is a ridiculous amount of AM's to rotate through especially when Eriksen is starting every game he wants, Poch never freakin rotates Dele and that leaves one more spot for Son, Lucas, Lamela, and Zaha with Grealish relegated to cup games to fight it out with that group.

And no one to link the defense to all of those players.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

They've had a bit of a spend up over the past couple of seasons I think. I would have thought that the main aim would be signing Loftus - Cheek and keeping hold of Zaha. It's tricky selling Zaha because he's a known quantity and is reliable whereas if they sold him in order to boost the squad, there's no guarantee it would leave them in a better position and they could be worse off attacking wise.

Genuinely hope, based on all the ITK, that Levy doesn't start to do Levy. The fact that Spurs are getting a possible second shot at signing him should be the sign it was meant to be.

Fingers crossed.

When we were first linked with Zaha a few seasons back I wondered what the hell we were thinking, but the last 2 years he seems to have matured and developed. The fact that Poch saw that potential back then makes me optimistic that Poch can work wonders with him should he sign.
