Seems he dropped a hint for a short while

Worth a punt at 5/1 (betfair). Certainly like the idea of him supporting Kane if we went for a similar shape to England in the summer, or coming from the left with Moura on the right. Positionally similar to Son, just a different skillset. Keeps it fluid. Keeps me moist.

A lot of Spurs fans were equally, or perhaps comically more so, ignorant the summer of Bale to Madrid and all the "signs" we was totally staying.Meanwhile the Palace fan at work is completely and blissfully adamant that he's staying because they posted a pic of him training on twitter today...
Polite reminder that we've already lost out on Zaha once in the past when it was a choice between joining us and staying at Crystal Palace.
Until proven otherwise, I don't believe we have the pockets/balls/ambition to go head to head with the likes of Chelsea on a transfer like this. They'll pay the agent and the player exactly what they want, and we just won't.

One interesting thing about bringing in Zaha would be that basically all of our attacking players minus Dele would all be the same age. Would be a lot of cash to replace that bunch coming up in a few years.
Kane, Eriksen, Lucas, Lamela, Son & Zaha all 25/26.
Also, imagine him adding to what we have against the bigger teams in Europe for counter attack football. Him and Son (even Moura). With Sissoko transitioning the ball......Can play on the right with Son left, Left with Moura right and in a two with Kane. Great versatility.
Or that they are all coming into their peak years. The "glass half full" view of that would be that it gives us longer to replace them gradually
We just need him to leave training and fly to Paris for the birth of his child. THEN, and only then is it on.Meanwhile the Palace fan at work is completely and blissfully adamant that he's staying because they posted a pic of him training on twitter today...
If Daniel is desperate to keep poch happy, he will
I see Barkley mentioned a while back in the thread as a win for Chelsea over us. The same Barkley that reneged on a deal to Chelsea on deadline day whilst literally at Stamford Bridge to keep his options open (likely for us). Hmmm.
This is why I expect to see Eriksen deeper this season, he'll be the pass master in transition and then three or even four of Kane, Son, Dele, Zaha, Lucas and Lamela running on.Also, imagine him adding to what we have against the bigger teams in Europe for counter attack football. You mean the barkley that went for a medical and they saw the extent of his injury and said sit tight we will get you cheaper in Jan and bump your wages?
