Their Holmesdale forum doesn't seem to have anything on potentially outgoing players whatsoever. Which makes me feel I've missed something but it's very odd.

There's thread in the Palace talk section where they discuss it (It's where I found the Mark Bright info), it's about him rejecting the contract.

They mostly seem to either be convinced he's staying or trying to convince themselves. Not ITK as far as I can tell.

They all got way too excited over their twitter posting training pics of him.

This ties in with Breezer's constant updates regarding his agent and Poch. I think, if we've had a bid accepted, he's ours.

Spurs now are a totally different proposition to when Willian happened, and all but Barkley were earlier than that. With Barkley based on @Trix info close to the player he'd have probably chosen us anyway. Might as well talk about us signing Jimmy Greaves from them in his prime...

I have a feeling that if Poch manages to have a one-to-one with him it'll be an easy decision for him.

Furthermore, whilst a pretty big part of players choosing Chelsea ahead of us was salary and higher chance of winning stuff (maybe not so much currently), I do think another aspect was that they had a core group of players who could influence them Terry, Lampard, etc. Who is their core currently? Hazard - may be going, Courtois - may be going too, Morata - being linked away.

I think it says a lot that RLC, who is currently a better player than Barkley, Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Fabregas (who's still technically brilliant but has the legs of a 60 year old man), is trying to force a move back to Crystal Palace (or other clubs but CPFC is the main club linked)

That's how I read it although in fairness the salary and any bonuses would presumably still need negotiating.

Clearly a player Poch covets so if we've actually agreed a deal in principle only for it to fall through on personal terms then i'd expect him to be pretty miffed.

Obviously if it just comes to him preferring Chelsea for footballing reasons then not much else we can do.

The only thing Chelsea have over us at the minute is that they win things more regularly.
