The focus on signing Zaha or Martial, coupled with the formations Poch has been playing in pre-season tells me we are planning on using a 433 for a number of matches. So, makes sense we'd want to bolster and strengthen our front 3 of (Son, Moura, Lamela, Harry, and hopefully one of Zaha or Martial). My preference has been for Zaha the whole time. I think he's about to reach peak form, and with Poch guiding him, I'm guessing the sky is the limit for the lad.

On a slightly unrelated note... I do wonder if this means Poch plans to push Dele into a midfield three. Personally speaking, I feel he'd do better in a midfield three (like Pogba), than in a front three. He just doesn't have the touch. aggressiveness, tenacity, and pace required to play the speed of a Moura, Son, Lamela and Zaha.

Some comments from a palace forum:

“I think Wilf is in for a big big season. Wouldn't be surprised if he is sold next summer and based on how he does, the fee could be huge. I think that certain clubs are circling now as they know that for many, getting him now might be their only chance.”

“Tottenham don't have a pot to urinate in by the sound of it, their shiney new stadium is cleaning them out

“I'd swap Wilf for Pulisic. Not that Pulisic would want to come here.”

“I wouldn’t swap Wilf for anyone - and I’m not even joking. Not Hazard or Ronaldo or even Messi”

“We all feel the same but it's getting to the point now where we can't hold him back. If he doesn't go in the next week then I can see him signing a pre-contract somewhere in January at least.Had a dream last night that he signed for Spurs on Deadline Day with an hour to go. That would be very Palace.”

“I think he will move this window”

“It’s absolutely mental, and any neutral fan would laugh their arse off, but I agree. I wouldn’t swap Wilf for anyone, not even Messi.”

“You never know, if we sign more players of the calibre of Meyer, Wilf might think it worthwhile staying.

“IMO its not Spurs we need to worry about its Chelsea.”

You could literally throw every single one of these into a time machine and come out with Everton fans last year on Lukaku or us on here regarding Bale. If in the future Kane or Eriksen's time is up you'll see that cycle repeated. Doesn't mean he's going or staying just as fans we almost always (few exceptions) hold onto players longer than they hold on to the team.

That's just loaded with gleeful potential if we actually manage it

Zaha son lamela Erikson moura Ali

That is as good as any attaking midfield in the Premiership.

If we don’t lose anyone and just have that I guess I’d be satisfied if not over impressed with our summer activity.

Agreed and that tells me they know he's far too good for them now and possibly on course to go up another level. Perfect.

Get it done spurs!

AM/FW apparently. I imagine any exit for Zaha would be rectified by a few players coming in to compensate.

Just FWIW, he started his career as an AM but got a bit lost after a few years - revitalised himself last season as a deeper lying cm in front of the defence under Tedesco at Schalke, then pissed them off in contract talks after him and his agent demanded a contract befitting of "such a world class midfielder" so they pulled out of talks

Are y'all really saying that adding Zaha makes us a better attacking group than the highest scoring premier league team of all time? Especially after they added freaking Riyad Mahrez.

No. But our striker decreases the gap between our attack and their attack, if we sign Zaha

Nope but only due to lack of signings ?.

He strengthen the bench and might be our super sub that we need
