I don't think it will be the end of the World, although a big dissapointment, if we lost 1 of 3 of Modric, Bale and VDV in the summer. Only if we sign a couple of top class strikers though. We seem to still create shed-loads of chances without Bale and Modric, but it's just finding someone to finish them off. As for VDV, as great as he is, I think we'd be able to find a like-for-like replacement. Albeit for a bit more than £8m.

However, if we could keep all three, we will go in to next season a much stronger team. We have to keep faith in the board whether we finish 4th or 5th, get behind the team because we've seen what happens when results go against you and heads start to drop - see Liverpool.

I think the main players we want to keep will definitely stay. I think Bale and Modric realise that Spurs is the right club for them, and unless someone comes in with an absolutely ridiculous offer the club won't sell. Levy doesn't want Spurs to be a feeder club to the ones winning the titles, he wants us to be challenging those clubs, and knows who he needs to keep to achieve that.

So to make a long story short:

They'll all stay (hopefully)

I think there is a difference this time around compared to when Carrick, Berbatov and Keane left. There is a belief that this team could actually achieve things.

Whether or not we finish in the top 4, we have done enough this season to show that we can compete with the best. Perhaps without the distraction of Champions League we may even fair better in the league next time around.

We have also improved our reputation with our performances in the Champions League and players will want to play for us. Moreover, Redknapp has greatly increased his reputation and players will want to play for him. He has had praise left, right and centre from the likes of Mourinho and Guardiola. Tottenham Hotspur now comes with a big reputation.

When was the last team a newbie to the Champions League left such an impression? There is much to be proud about and plenty to be confident in. I think it is unlikely that any of our top players will leave this summer.

Just right to point that out....I firmly believe that myself.

By the way, is there any word on what Bale is being payed now since signing his new contract? I fear he's said he wants to leave, so we've considerably boosted his salary. If so, wonder what the knock-on effect will be within the squad.

I think we can all agree that if we don't sign a top class striker this summer a number of players will start to wonder if we're going to be a regular Champs League side

Which is why ideally we should get it done early .. Modric-style.

As long as out future star striker doesn't have to sit through a dull 1-1 on his first visit to the Lane. Modric must have been impressed...

I don't think any will push for a move.

However, if one of the super clubs like Barca or Real Madrid make one of our players a top priority then it is possible.

Carrick probably didn't want to leave but when SAF publicly made him number one target it was too tempting for him to say no.

If Barca decide Bale or Modric is the guy they need then they'll probably leave.

My guess is the huge clubs won't pursue these players agressively enough and they'll all stay next season. If Bale improves enough then in the future he could leave, same as Modric.

I doubt any of the players in the list will ask for a move if we don't qualify for CL next season although the closest to it would be VDV (50/50).

I'm sure that all these players are aware that we would probably already be lying comfortably in one of the top four positions today if not for two reasons, namely, (a) a lack of a top quality striker or two, and (b) a lengthy period with a consistent central defence pairing.

Sandro has already shown enough since becoming a regular in the team to have bolstered our defensive side (irrespective of the 3 goals conceded in the Blackpool & Wolves games). In the league, we have had four clean sheets (from 10 games) since the turn of the year as compared to just the two (from 19 games) before that.

All we need is to acquire one or two top (or at the very least, better than what we currently have) strikers.

If the Board and Management take quick actions to sign one or two top strikers as soon as the summer window opens (instead of procrastinating like in previous windows), I think that all the players in the list will not seek to leave the club this year. However, they should start their search as soon as possible and make the initials contacts / talks as soon as it is allowed.

If we don't get Champions League then I think we'll see a number of bids come in for the likes of Modric, Bale and VdV and it'll be interesting to see how we, and the players, deal with that.

The more worrying thing will be that without Champions League football we wouldn't be able to attract the sort of big name striker that we need to move up to the next level.
