Two consecutive terrible home performances, with probably 9 of the players playing in both. Surely Ramos is going to change it for our next home game as performances like this aint good enough, regardless of our current safe position.

Not so much the defence, but the midfield and strikers definitely needs changing. Malbranque hasnt been on form for 3 months now, yet he starts every game, and its the same for Keane who hasnt been himself for a while aswell. The centre midfield were overrun in the last half hour, surprisingly after Hud coming on. Not sure what to do with the centre mids but it needs shaking up.

True, especially in centre mid. Hud was awful when he came on and Boateng hasnt really showed hes got enough about him yet. If O'Haras fit maybe give him a go in the middle again , or even try Steed out there to see if his performances improve.

I would start bent for the next 4 games. Get his confidence and value higher

Keep Keane in as he needs all opportunities to win Top Scorer, particularly as he's here next season. Then stick DB up top with Keano and Jenas feeding him in.

If i was Ramos, i'll be saying to the midfield now, your season's over, enjoy the rest.

Stick Teemu in front of the Defence as our DM, O'Hara on the left, with Rose on the right. He's right-footed, i think. And bring in Taarabt as our attacking midfielder, give that a whirl, can't be no worse.

I think the last month / 6 weeks as confirmed to Ramos that the following are a mustthe rest can fuck off.

Musts - King, Hutton, Woodgate, Bale ( Albeit, not played), Jenas, Berbatov and Keane.

Must do better - Zokora, Dawson, Huddlestone, Lennon, Malbranque and Bent

Fuck off - Chimbonda, Lee, Gardner, Stalteri, Robbo, Ghaly and Tainio

Jury's out - O'Hara, Gunter, Kaboul, Taarabt, Gilberto.

But the season isn't over. We still want to pick up points, and as bad as our performance was yesterday, starting players like Taarabt and Rose ahead of JJ and Lennon really could be worse. From what I've heard, Rose is quite a talent. Maybe he'll get a few sub appearances. For the players Ramos wants to keep, I expect he wants them to man up and take ownership for our final few games of the season. Kind of "well, this season's been kind of a fuckup, but it's our fuckup so lets try to get it right for these last few games and finish on a bit of a high." Telling them that their season is over is really sending the wrong message.

Rose is way off starting in the first team, i recently watched a few reserve games and he's nowhere near ready for first team action,
I can only see the side playing out the rest of the season with Tainio, Kaboul, Tarrabt and Boateng probably getting half a game here and there,
I'd love to see a few of the reserves getting a look in but just can't see Ramos doing it.

After yesterday I'm not sure any of them other than Hutton and Woodgate deserve to start again this season.

To be honest though the main area where we should drop everybody is in central midfield. Yesterday all three of Hudd, JJ and Zokora were absolutely fucking abysmal.

I'd definitely play Tainio ahead of all three in the next game and I'd probably give Boateng another go aswell.

Ditto the above comment. TBH Teemu can't do any worse that the other three, and he does deserve to be given a chance in his role as DM and I think he bloody well deserves a chance. If he f's it up then he f's it up but lets be honest here JJ, DZ (&the Hudd in small doses) have f'ed it up enough already this season to warrent not playing, I say give Teemu and chance, if only to repay his loyality to the club he loves before he leaves in the summer.

not sure Ramos is putting a great deal of pressure on them. Judging by his body language i think he's happy to forfill the rest of the fixtures, seeming to be putting an effort in team selction but letting them go out and provided the don't get injured he's happy enough. I think we'd had one booking in our last 4 games.

Perhaps psycologically he wants the focus to be off us, people to write us off a bit.. I think the last thing we need next seaon is to be 5th favourites for the league again.

It's perhaps putting a more positive swing on the situation than the players deserve but if his team is going to be different next year by 4/5 faces maybe he wants to see which players left can perform without motivation from him. which ones take the bait and cruise and which one bring it apon them selves to raise thier game despite there being nothing to play for.

I don't know for sure but i think Ramos is being very canny.
