Im undecided. On one hand he has given us some fantastic moments over the last couple of years, but on the other hand, i think he should give it one more season and see what impact ramos and the new signings have.

if he goes it will be a disaster, no money can replace his talant he is a genuis, hopefully Dan is right and he will stay, i would hate to see him going thats for sure, Utd fans are not worried if they get him or not some cant even say his name right, we are so close to haveing a great side with him in it,
i for one would be sick to lose him

Dont think we'll get a chance to boo him. He'll go but I honestly believe that he wont play a particularly big role for Utd. He slows the pace of the game which is in complete contrast to Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez, and pretty much every successful side Ferguson has put together in the past 15 years. They'll spend big money on him, he wont play much, and he'll end up at Newcastle in 2 years time. Same thing will happen to Keane if he goes to Liverpool.

Football's gone crazy and I cant be arsed with it. Might start watching Northampton Saints next season. Seriously.

No. I'm sure a move to Man. U looks pretty tempting, from his point of view. And he hasn't acted like a primadonna at any point, despite what people try and infer from his naturally sulky demeanour.

Should the deer-faced one go I'm sure, on the horrible day he returns to the Lane wearing the strip of another team, he'll treat us with nothing but respect, a la Keano's refusal to do the somersault/shooting arrow thing when he scored a hat-trick against Wolves in 2003.

If it does happen I'll have a bit more of an issue with Levy and co., for selling him to another Premiership team.

How could anyone boo him, he is has given us such joy over these two short years. I will be devastated if he goes, and I pray that if he does, it will be abroad, but I could never boo him.

Dcarney you're right about the way he would treat us too - look at the way he refused to celebrate when he scored against his old team for us in UEFA Cup.

Read this article in The People

Man U offered £20mil, got rejected.. then they offer a raised bid of £25mil...

Berba has been really grumpy in pre-season training and has affected other player's morale etc...

so looks like he wants to go and it's best for the club...

Hopefully this isn't the case.

Do bear in mind the size of the gap between "what the tabloids say is happening" and "what is actually happening".

I never boo our old players, apart from Scumpbell. I hope Berbatov does well if he leaves. I've always thought that he's been under rated by many non Spurs fans and would like to see him playing at the very highest level, to show the world how good he really is. A lot of the time I understand his frustration as so often the players around him make the wrong decision and cost him a goal scoring opportunity. By the same token, if he did stay and we signed Bentley, then with the additon of Modric, i think Berbatov will have a great season and will really enjoy playing with players of their ability.

Sheringham?

True, but I therefore would like to make 3 points:

1). Sheringham was used more as a sub/back-up for the Cole and Yorke partnership than as a regular starter.

2). And while Ferguson was able to rotate Yorke, Cole Sheringham and Solskjaer without upsetting them, I can't see Rooney or Ronaldo being too pleased if they start getting rotated as opposed to just rested once a month. And given all the Madrid stuff, Ferguson will be careful not to piss off his crown jewels.

3). The current Utd team attacks with a greater pace than any of their past teams, due to the natural athleticism of the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney. They counter more than the team of '99 did and at that time their wide players of Giggs and Beckham held the ball and provided ammunition for the forwards. Now, their wide players and their strikers are fundamentally the same thing. Rather than providing crosses the wingers join in the attack. A player like Sheringham in the current Utd team would be left behind and wouldnt be able to influence a game the way he used to for Utd.

I might be wrong, but I genuinely think that Berba will become an expensive bit-part player as the season wears on.

good points, but berbs would offer them that additional dimension of play - clever hold up play with incisive passing

utd don't only score goals on the counter and that's when berbs will come into his own

and hell yes i'll boo him. it's part of the pantomime that is football, good fun and it will cause great pain to firstly see him in a manure shirt and secondly watch him score for them. prob against us.
