Have to admit that it will be hilarious watching William's first game against us. He will be standing in the center circle wondering why he is being lustily booed by Spurs supporters. He will then look over to our side of the field and will make eye contact with Sandro and Pauhlino... The biggest problem I see is that willian would have played as left wing forward. Bale won't nor will lamela or Townsend as they are all better on the right cutting in. Which means we're reliant on Chadli. I like him, jusy not confident he is anywhere near world class..

So does anyone know what other top level LWs there are who would come to spurs?

thing is people - we can still be competing with Chelsea this season even though we haven't got Willian. He would have made our XI better, but he does not do that to Chelsea, they were still going to be as good without him. We just need to find someone else to fill that role now.

Fully expect him to now line up at Chelski, as others have said Mourinho doesn't expose himself to comments unless he is confident, to a certain extent AVB hasn't either, only that there was interest, it was the media that blew it all into what it was.

I personally feel dissappointed he aint coming, because i believe the AVB and the team had the view that he was one of the final pieces to our jigsaw and would be fantastic for our team, AVB clearly rates him very highly if he has chased him for so long across multiple clubs. However, to be fair my dissappointment is from believing in them, all the clips i have seen has looked like somebody we likes to take people on, and to do flash ball movements, but i have never been blown away with the end product, but as i say i believed in there recommendation and analysis of multiple full games rather than youtube clips. So part of me thinks maybe we might have dodged, and part thinks h'es a real loss.

We need to move on, and find areplacement, whether that be the names others have mentioned, or some from left field, however it can't be a stop gap, we need to continue to pay big and get it finished, surely we must have had a plan B.

Unless it's on Chelsea's twitter, facebook or OS then it's still not official. Seems we were nipped before he signed, so theoretically someone else could do the same to them.

I would also like to add that I used to respect, Mourihno. But after his arrogant crack about the medical, i am seething. That shit is bush league, and childish. He shoulnt be smugly rubbing something this duplicitous in our faces. Its utterly disrespectful. He should shut his mouth and simply be thankful that he has had the privilege of working on teams that have ridiculous sums of money. Special One? Bullshit. Honestly, I've never seen him play on the left and he seems to shoot off his left foot, so is better suited to RW. Personally, I'm hoping he plays regularly after his recent form.

TBH he has spent most of his career on the left, only harry really played him on the right

He also cuts in on his right foot alot and has scored a fair few on his right foot tbh

Have to agree, I really like Lennon and think he brings alot to the team (often not appreciated by many of our fans) but Townsends gotta start ahead of him for me, he's shown what he brings to the table and was also our best player in pre-season, deserves a crack IMO
