The reason for "deal dones" simplified in four different scenarios:

Scenario 1) Commercial parties agree a price - THEY THINK DEAL DONE
Scenario 2) Player agrees with new club - THEY THINK DEAL DONE
Scenario 3) Agent agrees with new club's proposed terms - THEY THINK DEAL DONE
Scenario 4) Lawyers get their hands on documentation - they confirm DEAL NOT DONE even though all parties agreed.

This is why I think we hear so many different version of "deal done" (or not).

I work with commercial property people who think that a deal is done as soon as the heads of terms are agreed. They think that lawyers and accountants (and agents) get in the way. But they're a necessary evil.

Just my onion. And I get paid to be one, so :p.

The boy need some morale guidance (family)

If so, they would be telling his shit club and agent what to do.

Hertyid on COYS:

Ok so some crossed wires here, and I will admit that my info is not as good as POTL and nothing is done until OS says so.

But

One of my guys did his medical on wed evening.
He was at training ground for meet and greet.
He agreed personal terms.
We agreed fee.
Work permit was applied for 100%.

I find it hard to believe that Chelsea, who have about 7 excellent players in Willian's position, have come in and offered 40m for a player they don't need. Take a step back and think. Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, de Bruyne. Why would they spend 40m on Willian and where would he play?

Willian is coming to WHL.

If it doesn't happen that's fine (not saying I don't want the transfer to go through or he would not improve the first team). We can still go for Christian Eriksen.

Lamela seems to be the more pressing transfer to me as there are not too many players like him around.

WE ARE NOT GETTING DRAXLER. WE ARE NOT GETTING REUS. WE ARE NOT GETTING MATA.

This is actually a really important point that lots of people here miss. If we don't sign Willian,
that money allocated to buy him will likely not be reinvested. We will sign Lamela and sell Bale and be done. There just aren't enough available targets out there that we can wrap up this late and others like Ljacic aren't interested in us.

If Willian goes to Chelsea and Coenteao doesn't come back in the Bale deal, we are going to still have weaknesses in the starting XI and Ill be quite upset.

I understand that there's loads of midfielders fighting for his place at Chelsea, but who's to say none of those are going to be sold?

Surely if we have had a bid accepted, regardless if another club comes in at a higher price, our bid remains the same, its accepted and that surely means they cannot go back on that?

Should have tweaked that there was something in Willians tweet last night "Come on Chelsea" that something didn't add up.

To be honest, with agents like Kia, and if he wants to join Chelsea and be a bit part player competing against 10 or so other Attacking Midfielders in a world cup year, then I think we're better off without.

If they wanted him, they knew he was available, why would they wait to get involved after he had had a medical. Cutting it a bit fine, and seems a strange way to conduct business

Why on earth would Mourinho want Willian? He is the polar opposite of a Mourinho player. Jose already has a perfect #10 for his style in Oscar. Very tactically savvy, great positional understanding, and excellent work rate.

If Willian goes to Chelsea, it's because Roman is a megalomaniacal **** and went solo to fuck Levy.

Strange that in Mourinhos press conference that there transfer window would be quiet until after there game against United on Monday out of respect. Meaning they wouldn't bid again for Rooney until after then.
Yet, he wants to muck our targets up whilst at the last minute, whilst we're playing, and a player they have tons off. Stinks of Chelsea buying rivals targets to beat of competition or get one over AVB/Spurs like they've wanted to do in the past.

What doesn't make sense is why would Chelsea offer more money than us if our offer has already been accepted? Surely they would just have to match our offer.

sky bet : chelski 4/6 to get willian from evens :(

Fuck sake, how many times do people have to point out that this only means that bookmakers are shifting the odds to cover the spread of bets. It does not bear any relevance to a likelihood of a deal!
