I can't wait for the game Sunday. Transfer windows aren't what hooked me on this sport. I trust Baldini has a plan b and if this means we face Willian instead of Mata, then there's our silver lining. I do agree this transfer is more about Chelsea keeping us from strengthening than improving their own squad. Feel that, Roman, that's our breath on your neck. We're coming. You can keep wasting the natural resources of the Russian people on all the footballers you want, but we're coming.

It'll be interesting to see what Levy does regarding Bale now. I'm 90% sure we'll have backup plans, this was an opportunity that popped up let's not forget. Hence, I still think we'll sell Gareth and hopefully we won't get gazumped for more quality players.

Until just over a week ago Willian was not really on anyone's radar, it's only Anzhi's problems that caused the shift.
Yes we would have liked him, and thought we had him (as probably Liverpool did before we came in) but saying Lamela is not enough to make up for Bale is VERY shortsighted.

IMO. lets see if we have lost out on William before we start crying, if we dont get William,would love to see us put a 30mil offer in for Draxler, can play all across the M/F. Alternatively Victor Fischer L/W A/M C/F, also we should get the Lamela deal done ASAP,
