Some rancid 0 post dick disagreed with a post of mine (didn't bother me at all mind, oh no, no siree) yesterday before the Chelsea link became official about the cancer that is Kia "I have 2 names, 2 nationalities and 2 DOBS" Joorabchian. The hold up after a lot of movement was all anyone needed to know that a game was being played on us.

The only reason to delay signing contract after having a medical is to play silly buggers. Terms were agreed etc. Why the delay in sitting down and signing? It was obvious then it would go tits up and Kia would engineer something.

It's a crying shame about missing on the player but it's virtually cancelled out by the positive news that that fetid turd will never need to darken our doors for his client for the next 4 yrs for me.

Absolute sphincter of a man.

Bravo!

Leaving ourselves short would be a huge blow though. Say Lamela gets injured and we've sold Bale. What exactly have we got to create or attack defences with, not to mention to link up with Bobby?

Same would apply if we kept Bale, no? And I'm not one of these people who believes that we can go and spunk £30m on a player in addition to what we've already spent and not sell Bale.

I'm all for signing a top quality in addition to Lamela, but I'm very concerned that we'll panic buy and end up with someone no better than what we already have, and losing our Bale money in the process.

I'm also of the opinion that there's absolutely no chance of the Bale deal not happening now. Even if Lamela falls through.

Sum it up, if he joins Chelsea then it's for nothing more than the payday. They have far too many in his position already, despite how much Jose likes to rotate, so let the man go and get his big payoff, we keep Bale.

I suppose it's for the best - if he did come to us then Chelsea wanted him still next window, we'd just go through the same this time as we did with Bale this year & Modric last.

Move on with a shrug and confident that we have Bale and a squad that is showing real promise.

We need to put this into context.

1) this is not a player that was available at the begining of the window and that anyone had given any thought too so i doubt he was a plan A.

2) is he actually worth £32million? are there cheaper alternatives?

3) most people only got obsessed with this bloke when chelsea got involved. Probably thinking chelsea are interested so he must be good.

i think we need a player like him but he is not the be all and end all. it also doesnt make chelsea much stronger as the have plent of similar players in his position

They're in the CL, recent CL winner, have the most famous and one of the most respected managers in the world.

They will no doubt have told him that he'll be a starter and if he's confident (as all footballers should be) then he'll believe that.

I'm sure he's getting a payday too, but be realistic.

This might sound bitter and it very much is, and Chelsea might be seen as a bigger club but to me they're simply irrelevant and aren't worth a second thought. Mourinho can gloat, but he's the manager of a nothing team and as much as they ever win, they didn't earn any of it. West Ham are the bigger club for me, fuck Chelsea. I'm proud to support a real team.

Nothing against Willian although if he picks them, I hope he sits on the bench. The only really annoying thing is that they don't need him at all.

I understand what you're saying but Chelsea had been in the CL and had won a european trophy in the years before Roman came on board. They were basically at the level we are now.

This type of logic goes straight over most peoples head. Also those who think Willian won`t get many games for Chelsea are deluded.

I think Lamela will be our number 10, he was brought to Roma to replace Totti one day. He can play on right wing, but his best position is behind a striker. Bernard was cheaper than Willian, shame we didn't get him. Right footed left winger with lot of creativity. I think we are looking now at somebody similar to him.

I completely agree with this but i would also add that Lamela isn't quit ready to be our number 10 yet, he is still learning and can disappear sometimes. I have no doubt he will be a success over time (he is one of my dream players that i never thought we would ever get) But we need someone a little older to effect the team now. Thats the one thing Willian has, more experience. I'm just hoping we can somehow get Baldini into Jedi mindtricking Ljajic into wanting to come to us.

If not for Roman, they'd be nothing more than another Nottingham Forrest or Preston North End. But I did warn you I was bitter

AVB should look at this move by chelsea as mourinho actually seeing spurs and AVB as a threat.

Exactly. Top players back themselves, and I dont think this guy seems short of confidence.

Feels horrible but f*ck him, if he doesnt want to play for Spurs then let him go & rot on the bench over at Chelski & miss out on the Brazil team!
