Jose, who said this about him?

"Good Player. A player that I like, a player that I need, a player that the squad needs,"
Come on, he said good and bad things about most players, as and when it served his ego. All part of his m.o. And no, I can't quote any, I've spent months trying to forget he was ever our manager.

If he wants to stay and fight for his place keep him. We do need to have a good number of hg players in our squad.

But answer came there none.

I'm all for getting a good hate going for a player, but I need something known and real, however trivial, to pin it all to.

I've never seen a single quote attributed to him in this respect which is spookily similar to Kane's alleged 'I want to leave Spurs' plea. Nobody has a quote on that either. Winks has supposedly done something unforgivable, but whatever that was can't be mentioned for some unknown reason. It's still enough though for him to labelled a rat and a snake which I find pretty disgusting.

Surely he’s had his chance(s) at this point. He’s simply not at the level we need to progress. Time he moved on.

I don't blame Harry Winks one bit for being pissed off playing for Mourinho. Continually used in a pivot and outnumbered in midfield, tasked with the holding role that didn't suit him and having a bunch of statues up front with little or no movement unless it was a quick counter attack. Then the 'same coach, different players' bullshit. Winks apparently spoke his mind and has suffered a huge backlash, but at least he had the nuts to say something. Wherever the information around him has come from, it will have some sort of spin on it.
The only nut he has was passing sideways. He was given the same role by Poch, i think both Mourinho and Poch expect more from Winks in that role but the man have no nuts, doing imaginary runs to support players, and only passes back and sideways, and that arm waving.

Totally agree. Plenty of other players were happy to just play the garbage Jose dished out.

When all our players are in our half under Jose, where did you expect Winks to pass the ball?

Like Dele, his form dropped off a cliff

At one time both were going to be exceptional players for Spurs & England

Now they both need to move on. The squad has become comfortable and stale and for the good of everyone a shakeup is needed

Here's Harry Winks from last season. You must have missed nearly all of this if you maintain he only passes sideways or backwards.

Ahead of them so they can run onto the ball, not directly horizontally or backwards with no ground advantage whatsoever. For me there is never any positivity about his passes.

Probably best for him if he moves on, but I’ll support him and hope he does well if he stays.

Where did this narrative of Winks only playing sideways passed come from? Last time I saw some stats with forward passes in the Prem he was surpringly more than expected.

I'm happy to let Nuno decide. If he fancies him great, I hope he kicks on. If he doesn't then I wish him the best of luck. Spurs lad through and through. Loved his reaction scoring late against West Ham. Always tried his best even if not always rated. Not got a bad word to say against him. Hope he finds his niche elsewhere.

What does he know about players...

Then he would be getting pelters still as the passes are lapped up by the opposition. Its easy to say things but having it work is a different matter.
