new name from trix: Aleksandar Mitrovic
We are very much interested, although not the only ones. Has risen right up the wanted list in the last few days, and looks like our first choice CF option atm.
This does not affect the situation as far as us wanting J-Rod is concerned. Poch wants more than one forward player coming in, as we are actively looking to move others on, even if it means it is at a substantial loss.
Personally I am over the moon about this, and if we could get him I think it would be as big a signing as Modric was.

Mitrovic is a monster. Wanted him to be our CF of the future a couple seasons ago before he went to the Jupiler League.

He's slipped behind Kane in the pecking order, there is no way back now.

I don't believe this is true. Whenever Kane is brought on as a sub it's as a second striker/number 10. Games he has started as a centre forward were cup games when Soldado was injured.

Its not always about coming on as a straight swap for Ade though, its about adding to the goal threat not just like for like swapping Strikers (which imo isnt really an attacking substitution). Key thing is Kane is being used far more than Soldado when Poch makes an attacking substitution..

I've never seen Mitrovic play before. Could he be a trigger man to start a press? Does he create his own goals?

He is 20, so he can learn to be the trigger man. He can create his own goals if given the ball around the edge of the area, but you wouldn't expect him to skin a few players at pace.

He is very aggressive and strong, so he definitely add's something we are missing. He isn't good enough to be our fist choice striker yet though.

I think we will be buying Jay Rod to play on the wing role... not as a forward.... may be replacement of lennon /townsend

My guess is he'd be brought in to provide an option for both positions. Either way, it seems Chadli wasn't originally in Poch's plans and is now having an excellent start to the season, so whatever Poch was planning as of August will inevitably have changed.

We still need one extra player who can play chadli's position ... Right now lennon or townsend can't play that role ...So even if we have chadli , we still need one player like jay rod ... jay rod/chadli , eriksen /kane , lamela /townsend !!!

I remember that a few on this board - including me  - already wanted Spurs to sign Mitrovic the summer of 2013, while he was still at Partizan. Anderlecht got him for only €5 million (though, without claiming to know this, I have a feeling there are some sell-on clauses in his contract).
Why didn't Andre listen to us? :banghead: Or Tim for that sake :p

He was always in front of both Lennon and Townsend, as I posted all summer. ;)
