News is just getting better and better...

Jonathan Woodgate could return to first-team action within a month as the Tottenham defender steps up his comeback from a career-threatening groin injury.

The centre-back has not played since November 22 last year as his horrific run with injuries continues.

And there were fears that the former Leeds and Real Madrid centre-back's career could have been in doubt.

But White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that the 30-year-old is ready to start 'pre-season' and could be back in a month.

"Jonathan has worked hard, had a good month and the physios have been very encouraged by the work he's done," said Redknapp.

"He's got to go through pre-season; there's real light at the end of the tunnel. No one could have tried harder than him. Things are looking positive."

Not sure how he can return to first team action while not in our quad... but sounds promising for him. :-D
