We didn't register him last August, the next opportunity is in the winter transfer window!

not heard anything like that.

But in one of the Papers Harry mentioned that he had his first out door training this week.

In fact the rumors you have heard are BS. He isn't in our 25 man Squad. He can only play in Jan if we add him

HR came out yesterday and said he had trained for the first time in 18 months, no way will he feature in a game until the end of january- mid feb. He'll probably play in a few Spurs XI games in the new year and see how he gets on.

He obviously can't play until the new year but it is a great boost for the squad. He is top quality, better than Gallas, Dawson, Younes (for now at least) and Bassong. He is fantastic, something I really never appreciated until I was able to see him regularly for us.

I really hope he can stay fit now and get back to his best.

We now have the quality options to rest players.

Well there are a few encouraging signs then with Woody, would love to see him back and at the top of his game because he is a very top class defender.

Great player. Would be wonderful if we had him back for the second half of the season.

It's bizarre that we are so blessed with defensive players, yet we have been shipping goals and are known as an attacking team. The addition of one or two top-notch strikers in the Jan window (wishful thinking I know) and with King, Dawson and Woodgate back in the frame we could really gain some momentum.

Of course we could sign no striker of any consequence and pick up more injuries to key players, but I am staying positive. Top 4 finish for me.

Even if he never plays again, he is a Spurs hero. Will never forget the goal against the Russians. Incredible to have him back, wrap him in cotton wool and let him get back to fitness before we get him back on the pitch.

King Woodgate Gallas Dawson Kaboul Bassong

Find me another central defence like that in world football with that depth and range of qualities and attributes.

We need to stop leaking goals like we are, because we are so much better than that.

Its the lack of protection from midfield that is costing us goals. If we want to stop conceding we need 2 defensive midfielders in front of the back 4. Untill that happens we will keep conceding

But that would stunt the attacking football that is getting us great results and attention.

Before HR we were consistently letting in goals form set-pieces but this slowed down dramatically.

I like that Harry is bold enough to play with two wingers and central midfielders who have more to thier game than sitting in defence. We've only let in three more than Arsenal but scored 9 less.

Our defence isn't as big a problem as some think.

I love Woody, a really classy CB. Great news but it will take considerable time for him to reach the heights of previous seasons. If he could get some game time between now and the end of season and then have a proper pre season under his belt for next season that would be great.

Ideally he comes back in as soon as he can and features regularly.

Would love to see King and Woodgate together again...best pairing in the League for me.

We could have great options defensively by the time we play AC - although I doubt Woody would be ready for a game of that magnitude, but you never know - if he comes on well and doesn't pick up anymore injuries he could back for some of the big games.

Just great news to here though.

Yes part of the problem is the lack of protection that our midfield affords our defence, we are far too open, we surrender the ball too much and don't work as hard as we should off the ball.

But that would stunt the attacking football that is getting us great results and attention.

It's not the problem that some Spurs fans, and other lazy pundits suggest but I think there is a happy medium between the way we play and being over cautious. You can play good football whilst working hard and being compact, look at the best teams around, they graft like fuckers off the ball then play football more when they're on the ball - which is a lot more because they work so bloody hard to get it back.

I think we've got the tools available, but we're not quite using them, but granted, I'm enjoying every last minute.
