I’m an hour into the Uruguay game. Good tussle, but it’s like the commentators (Keown and Pearce) are watching a different game. Despite Uruguay trying to be the proactive team and Egypt the reactive team and neither really creating good chances, they seemed to create their own narrative of Egypt being the “better” side.

And they spent the whole first half doing the most irritating thing in punditry, constantly harping on sbout Uruguay not moving the ball quick enough from midfield. Like it’s always a simple fucking choice and the opposition aren’t on the pitch doing everything they can to stop you doing that.
