Thing is if they don't call it against defenders then why would they call it against the attacker?
Would a PK be given if that was reversed? Probably not.

Pretty much my point. The only thing you can be sure of inside that area is a foul given on a GK - warrented or not.Would a PK be given if that was reversed? Probably not.
No because that's clearly different.Only a "little shove". Does that mean you give a player a little kick and get away with it?
He's not even Brazil's best player. His hype and profile baffles me. He's clearly a good player, but he's not amazing. He's hardly on David Beckham levels of model like marketability, so where does the brand appeal come from? And I know it's throughout the game, but his play acting and gamesmanship is wearying... Diving and looking for cards in friendlys and Olympic matches?
Nah, a good many players i rate higher.
A shove is still a foul. Doesn't matter how little (and it wasn't little) it is.No because that's clearly different.
That's your opinion.A shove is still a foul. Doesn't matter how little (and it wasn't little) it is.
That doesn't mean you can shove someone in the back at a corner.
And I'm right, dammit! That's your opinion.
It was such a horrendous shove that the Brazilians didn't even realise it had happened until they saw it on a replay. If a nudge is enough to get a goal disallowed then defenders might as well not bother standing their ground and flop over the moment they are touched.
Would a PK be given if that was reversed? Probably not.
No. He pushed him in the back which bought him a yard so he could head it in. The defender wasn't expecting it and it delayed or stopped his ability to jump
But that's not the point is it. They had cover, but that cover was pushed from under the flight of the ball which took him out of the game.Doesn't explain why the other 4 Brazilians in the 6 yard box were defensively inept.
Surely that’s what VAR was brought in for. To stop goals that shouldn’t have been given and vice versa. It was enough to stop the defender jumping for the ball. It was a foul.
