I think Spain screwed themselves over big time; Koke, Mata, Silva, Iniesta and Carzola don't offer anything different to each other and the inclusion of torres is a joke.

I can see Martinez playing the next match at CB.

Never will happen. I think Villa should be there as for first sub for any of the front 5. Busquets and Alonso never has worked for me and always been boring as fuck to watch

I just don't know why they won't play Rooney up front, I don't like him but he's got the talent. He's like RVP in that if he's loved the boy performs. For all his achievements he's only maybe played 1 or 2 seasons as an out and out striker.

If they actually play football that England of old are known for, with some heart and passion, and as an actual team then many of us here would probably warm to them. But, I've not seen that for a long time, except for the odd player.

Spain absolutely need Koke in the middle to offer some drive and penetration.

Will be telling whether del Bosque doesn't feel the need for wholesale changes and sticks with the tried and trusted or gives a few players a rocket up their arses and bring in the likes of Martinez, Koke et al.

Either way, Spain need a huge reaction after tonight's demoralising drubbing.
