Very comfortable on the ball.

They'll be better suited to this temperature you would think as well.

If they stay in the game there is every chance they could win it late on.

It has the feel of 1 goal will settle the game, both teams just lacking with the final ball.

See Bentaleb and Dembele exchanging clumps today.
BC, what are your opinions on Paulinho? Are you on the side of the "Disappointing but needs time and isn't a bad player" brigade or are you on the side of the "He's shit" brigade.

Nothing in this game really. Korea actually finishing the half the stronger.

I think he suffers a bit from being one of those players that doesn't do the spectacular, just does multifunctional things reasonably well. Bit like Jenas, and I don't think it's a terrible thing.

I think if used correctly players like this can make important contributions. I was looking at his stats a few weeks ago and I think they showed he averages more tackles per game than Sandro, scores more than all our other CM's and has the second highest passes per game of all our cm's (only 2 behind the best). People love Sandro because of his character and persona but over a season I reckon a team would probably benefit more from Paulinho's actual contribution - he just wouldn't look as heroic doing it.

I think many fans find it hard to evaluate players that don't do the fucking spectacular every five minutes. That's not to say I think Paulinho is wonder bread, just that I think he made a decent contribution to our season, especially for a player having his first season in our league and one not being played in a system that necessarily suits him.

I think a 433 (a la newcastle away) would suit hime better in our league - it's different to playing the 4231 for Brasil at international tempo.

He did play 4-3-3 today but there wasn't a huge upgrade on his performance from the first game. The majority of the Brazil players were poor but it is ever so slightly concerning. A lot of people are saying he just has nothing in the tank- he's played for 2 years straight and probably needs a rest.

I guess there could well be an element of that too.

What a mare. Actually feel bad for him, even though it was the result of his own shitness.
