Back on the subject of the team, I would be over the friggin' moon if we got Young, happy if we got Crouch and happy if we got Vieira, but I only see Crouch as a likely signing. Still, if we line up featuring 11 of those 13 players I'd be very happy indeed.

seems more realistic and in essence is a good team on paper. i would be a bit worried about scoring enough goals but you won't let in much with that defense.

I also have no problems with that team whatsoever. Crouch replacing Bent or Pav improves our attacking unit not necessarily in quality but definitely in balance, he'd be a much better foil for our two little guys.

And the other 9 were regulars in our fantastic post-January run last season, I see no reason why they don't deserve to carry on together.

If you had that opinion after his first game i would agree, but he has been quality for us probably the best right back we have had at this club in years. Thing people forget is he is only 22 and has a lot to learn especially as it's not his favourite position but people keep raving on about Ashley Young and what happened when Charlie came on against him? Young Vanished!

Ashley Young is a very good winger, and hard to play against with his pace....
away to aston villa he tore our midfield and defense to shreds, especially poor zokora, turned him inside out, frazzled him!

Corluka comes on, we win the game and Ashley Young barely touches the ball again for the remainder of the game

Mate you have stunned me. Charlie is cool as a cucumber. Fantastic defender and part of a Spurs defence that only let in 11 goals at home all season.

I think you should have a look at some of the players we have had who match your decision especially since 1990. You obviously are deluded or have never been to a game.
