I won't hate Keane.

I'll be disappointed but then I'll remind myself that we're getting a substantial amount of cash for him, more than enough to buy an equally good replacement or invest in other areas that need it more depending on what formation we're going to play.

This is in no way like the Judas-case, Campbell royally fucked us over and left for free when we could and probably would have got 15m for him if he'd been under contract, and in addition left for our arch rivals. Keane will fetch at least 15m if not 20m.

And yes, he may have stated two months ago that he loved the club and all that, but the critics and crybabies who are calling him a Judas should think what they would have done if they were a star at e.g. Sunderland and Spurs came knocking. Your heads would be turned, as Keane's has been.

It is unacceptable for him to join a rival club. Hate him? Probably not as the move makes sense and isn't to the Gooners. I really don't think he should be allowed to move to Anfield unless they give us Gerrard or Torres in return:whistle:

Seconded.

He's given it all for Spurs, but when your boyhood club come in for you, especially when they have been finishing above your current club in the league, its near impossible to say he shouldn't join. We'll be getting great money for him, with the numbers being thrown around for him probably being more than most neutrals would have imagined he would go for. With this cash we might be able to go get a younger, better, version of him in David Villa.

Thanks for everything, Robbie.

Would be absolutely gutted if/when he leaves. However he has been a good servant to the club and I would not begrudge him the opportunity to play for his team and to get into the Champions League. Personally I think he will be more difficult to replace than Berbs, but I think he will get frustrated with the squad rotation that Benitez employs = I think his playing time will reduce drastically.

I certainly wouldn't hate him - he has given me so many wonderful moments over the years. I hate the way it's ended (if it really has) but it's nothing like RSol. I hope he will regret leaving (IF he does) because we get 4th instead of Liverpool and he gets far fewer games than he would here.

Also I don't want to start feeling animosity for him because he may well still be here next season and I love all Spurs players and try to cheer them on to do their best.

I would/ will feel very betrayed. He was my hero untill this, and I never thought he would leave. i would certainly be angry. More so than berbatov, as I saw that coming. Its difficult. i dont think i'd boo him, but i certainly wouldnt chant his name.

yes because it means he onpenly lied to us if he secretly wanted a move to liverpool. and he also lied about staying loyal and wanting to finish his career with spurs.

i won't hate him, but i will be definitely heartbroken.
Especially after how many times he said how happy he was here...
And because he was the main reason I started to love spurs and not just follow their results...
I hope he(and Berba as well) will stay...but future is really really uncertain...

After the initial shock from our chairmans statement declaring that both Keane and Berbatov- the latter not a surprise, heads have been turned and both would like to leave the great THFC. Having had time to think about it the club should get rid....( I'd probably get hammered for saying the following). Sol Campbell did the dirty on us only by going to Ar5ena1-(if it were any other team he'd be a legend IMO because not matter whats been said and done he served the club well) he honored his contract at Spurs and in a way I respected him for that also when he left the Scum he did the same and they didn't receive a transfer fee.

Robbie Keane signed a new 5 year contract declared his love for the club and it looks shabby that within months of winning the battle of Defoe out right he wants out.

The figures branded about 18-20M would be a fare price and we should sell and move on quickly.

He hasn't said he wants out. He told Levy that he would like the chance to play for Liverpool but is very happy to stay at Spurs.

ive lost all respect for him, i hate players who say they love the club and never want to leave then are asking for a transfer 2 months later.

even if he stays i will always have a strong dislike for him even though he used to be one of my favourite players

You know I would have forgiven him to a certain degree over time. But if all of these bust up rumors are true, then never.

hang on a mo' whats going on here? liverpool not interested in david villa but want to do a deal for keane? ay? hmmmm.. maybe.. benitez was interested in d.villa but was told or knows to fu** off cause he walked out on valencia a few years ago.. so he hatches a crazy idea that maybe if he gets keane then spurs will replace him with a better version of keane, namingly d. villa.. then benitez stirs up some trouble in 12 months time and signs david villa for liverpool, from spurs!

and if the keane deal falls through, great! benitez has disrupted spurs, the team that aims to knock liverpool out of the top 4. tut tut rafa.

It's the one piece of ITK that everyone seems agreed on.

And you can ask, but I'm not going to tell.

Not being funny, but he won that battle two years ago.
