After reading comments on Man Utd's website in general football, I got thinking about the possibility of him leaving United. No-one knows what SAF's view on him is.

He left in a very bad light but is a great footballer. If he fails to make it at the very top, the next club he joins he might give his all and be content with where he is rather than looking up.

This is hypothetical and extremely unlikely but in football you just never know. It'd be great seeing him back at The Lane and I personally wouldn't hold a grudge anymore than I do with Keane.

No he can go and get lost ! All my MAN USA fans are really pissed of at him, and even my Le A'RSE supporting Brother agrees with me that he is a Lazy M ........... Watching him take that penalty was a laugh .. ah well, I can see him being shown the door.

I would, but I'm sure most will say no. That and it won't happen.

I said to my mate at the game yesterday how much better I thought we would have been had we still had Berbatov up top with Keane yesterday. A proper number 9 who could have held it up and been a target for all our wing play.

I was never that angry with him I blamed Man Utd for putting him in the situation, they behaved disgracefully.
With him in the side we've got now we wouldn't be looking at 1-0 wins we'd be pretty unstopable and if thats not more important than our bruised ego then I don't know what is.

I would happily see him back at the Lane. Regardless of how he left he was the best player I have seen in a Spurs shirt (possibly ever).

I don't think Man U will be looking to sell him (nor will he want to return to us) and I am sure he will be a much better player for the next year.

Unless the wheels come off and they fail to win the league and CL, in which case I could see Ferguson making drastic changes.

To be honest, he looks like a shadow of the player he was with us, but I also feel he may not actually suit the way we play now.

Before, everything went through him and Keane. Long ball, used his control well.
These days, we play it using the midfield.

He has been shit for Utd, but Ferguson will keep him, I'm sure.

I'd like him back as a player but would he disrupt the harmony within the squad? Would the players forgive him? There were rumours that he had alienated himself completely to get his move. One of the reasons for our current good run is everyone working together and I wouldn't want him to come in and change the dynamics of the squad, resentment can linger and be a negative force.

Only if he atchaly start to work and not throw his arms about and not work for the ball... which he wont so thats really a no then.

Great player (when played for us) but too lazy to play in a team game IMO rather have 11 players who play together than 10 that do and 1 that turns the skill on now and then

Nay, nay and thrice nay!

He was lazy when he was with us, he'll be lazy if he comes back to us. We've FINALLY got some fighters, let's keep it that way!

He's a plague and it was obvious many of our current players disliked him.
A team of both Modric and Berbatov is mouth watering but even if we had the chance, I would not want him for the blatant disrespect he has shown towards our club.

I heard some rumour about Feguson wanting to get rid and get Benzema in next year. He would never come back to us though, and I don't think we should ever look to someone who treated us with such disdain, no matter how good a player he is.

Very nicely put WS, we'd have a superb side with him back in the first XI, everywhere else we look very good, but upfront is missing that last piece of the puzzle. Imagine that Keane/Berbatov partnership again, but this time in front of a really balanced defence and midfield.

Berbatov's arrival at utd has destroyed their teams stle of play in many respects... last season they were dynamic, tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo's movement made them unmarkable and allowed them to be unstoppable on the counter attack... this season Berba's arrival has seen Tevez pushed down the order and him being used as the target man as a contingency to their passing football... However Berbatov hasn't been able to influence their passing game like he could at Spurs and consequently lost alot of confidence which has really caught utd out...

We really don't want him back in our sides because he will undermine the whole ethos of what Redknapp is building here, a TEAM.... berbatov is an individual with qualities many others lack but he will NOT work for the team and will disappear at times which will send us backwards

in a New York minute ........ wont happen though cos Ferguson loves him.
Does amuse though me how some fans have to love the players like brothers and are unable to see what value players like Berbatov would bring. He is head, shoulders and torso above both Bent and RP. Him and Keane together were the best striking partnership in Europe hence their £50m plus fees, but no because he had ambitions to play for the biggest club in the World we shouldnt ever consider wanting him back

He did?

manure came in for him, as we all knew for awhile. We sold him with a huge profit. The fuck-up in this story with the deal done extremely late without a proper back-up is up to Levy & Comolli.

I haven't heard any comments that shows any lack of respect from him. Have you?

Its not that I can't see his value, 50 odd goals and numerous assists in 2 years is pretty obvious.

Some things are more important than that though, what we desperately need if we are to challenge strongly on all fronts next season, is to create a strong team spirit and unity of purpose in the squad. Berbatov pretty much pissed on everyone at the club in his last month, that can't be forgotten easily.

Did'nt he refuse to play the Sunderland home game? Had too much on his mind or something like that!? That's lack of respect.

Its well documented that he refused to play twice. Plus there were strong mutterings of the difficulty that Ramos and Poyet had on even getting him to muck in for training. Woodgate lsquaring up to him in training. Pav's quote, that nobody liked him, and he used to fling his boots at the cleaner with disrespect.
