Would you take Jol back now? Not sure how to do poll but I think it is an interesting and important question to ask?

My answer is yes in a flash.

We can't take him back and we have to trust that Ramos can turn this around. I'm sure he can and a clean sheet and solid defensive performance is a step in the right direction. Things can change very quickly.

I'd take him back in a flash but don't think its the right move at the moment we need to get some stability and gettign rid of ramos really isn't the way forward at the moment.

No, he done well for us and I'm more than thankful for him putting us back on the map. I'm not happy at the way we got rid of him and the timing of it all. However he still made some very strange decisions imo and I think done all he could for the team. Whether Ramos is the right man for us in the league still remains to be seen.

Why should we go through....having 1 up and concede two in the second half again.

My answer is never ever.

Many of you kids change your mind every time you've taken a crap. Why not Gross by the way?

if he has full control of the club than yes. He wanted to sign Elano, a dm and downing, I believe, when he got darren bent (sorry, but 16 mil?....makes me cringe still) kaboul, boateng.

Why is taarbt not being played anymore. I like Ramos, but at the moment I can't even see us getting 40 points this season.

What's done is done. We need to forget about Jol, Keane, Berbatov, Steeeed and co. and get behind Ramos, Pav, Bent, Modric, Bentley and co.

The decisions on who comes and who goes have been made and no amount of looking back is going to help our season which is what we need to be concentrating on. Love Martin Jol but the chapter is closed.

Remember two players named Keane and Berbatov that Ramos probably planned to play up front. Our management sold those two.....they scored 48 goals last season...

You might find the question interesting, but it is possibly the least important question asked on these forums in ages. The fact is, Ramos IS here now and Jol ISN'T coming back, so it's probably the most moot point in history. Even if people would like Jol back (I'm not sure he'd be doing any better, or any worse, than Ramos with these players in this form myself), it's completely irrelevant since it's not going to happen.

Sorry, but terrible topic.

Never go back. Letting him go is the worst decision since Burkinshaw was allowed to walk, but you can't turn back the clock.

I suspect in any case Jol would struggle to motivate the current squad. It is not just the lack of experience, it is the lack of character. Jol liked strong personalities in the dressing room - people such as Mickey Brown, Teemu Tainio and Robbie Keane, who buoyed up the team spirit. It is possibly the reason he showed so much patience with Dawson and Robinson.

I am not sure we have those personalities now.

I, Marty McFly, would not want Martin Jol back as we, despite my wonderful Delorean, do need to have faith in the current encumbant.

I would however like to go back and sign C Ronaldo, Essien, R Ferdinand, Torres, Kaka and Messi when they were each 12 years old and have them established in our academies and signed on lifetime contracts.

If I was wearing a hat, I'd take it off for that post.

It was wildly hypothetical. I don't think it will ever happen under Levy but what the question denotes is whether you think now after almost a year, it was the right decision in hindsight. If you think it pointless fine, but I think it an important topic to see how far we have come in twelve months. The truth is, we have gone backwards and at the moment show no sign of turning around.

Twelve months ago I was turning up to games, week in, week out, wondering whether we would ever win another game.

Twelve months on, I'm turning up to games, week in, week our, wondering whether we will ever win another game.

So, whilst the faces may have changed, both on the pitch and in the dugout, we have neither gone fowards nor backwards in my opinion.

I'd like Keith Burkinshaw or El Tel back. But it ain't gonna happen - and neither is Martin Jol - so let's move on.

It is embarrsing reading this really. I dont know what is worse - asking the question or the fact that there are so many people that say yes - this time last year there were so many people wanting him to go.

Pathetic really. Fickleness is a prevalent trait down the lane eh.
