If hell froze over and Campbell actually came back to Spurs, the reaction from the fans would drive him out immediately.

I can just imagine it now. Campbell's first game back, 3 minutes in he scores from a corner...runs to the Park Lane to celebrate..

...cue a reaction from the home fans that makes the gooners histrionics against Adebayor look like an old ladies tea-party.

Either that or the second he steps onto the pitch in a Spurs shirt he disappears beneath a mountain of 35,000 angry supporters, with the only thing left of him being a vibrating mobile and some bad memories.

No.

Never.

Plus apparently C***bell was given the runaround by League 2 strikers last weekend.

I'd rather have a good laugh at an idiot who has such a high opinion of himself that he turns down a 5-year contract worth £10 million at the age of 35.

His game was always based on his strength and speed. Now that is waning, he'll be on the dole soon...

For the record Yes.

Forgive and Forget. Sol would IMO be a good experience squad player to bring in considering the injury history of King and Woodgate.

Fans quickly forget...(Robbie Keane boy hood club is an example)

I remember waiting at the end of the season when Goddle was trying to pursuade him to sign a contract, I said to my boss at the time when the rumours started about him moving on, that I would become a Gooner if he moved to them, so convinced was I that as a self respecting Tottenham player and CAPTAIN.. he would never cross to the other side, even worse, he had the chance to move on any time that season or previously and he chose to wait untill he was a free agent so he could secure the move to that scum!
I obviously had to renege on my promise about supporting the scum. They were dark times at work.

Campbell I h8 you and always will

Not a chance, and even if I did he simply isn't good enough anymore!
He would be no better than 4th choice and would comand high wages. I would much rather see one or two of the youth brought through sitting on the bench like tonight.

Not even if resigning him guaranteed us winning the league, fa cup, champions league, world cup (the international one), twelve oscars, the turner prize and a lifetime coupon for sexual favours from the 10 Hollywood Actresses of your choice.

Not even if resigning him guaranteed a cure for AIDS, and end to world hunger, an flawless justice system, peace between all nations and the removal of Michael Bay from any directors chair.

Not even if resigning him led to me being able to predict lottery numbers, football results, racing winners, boxing outcomes, and gave me the power to control peoples minds.

Under no circumstances. Not even if we had not one fit defender, midfielder or goalkeeper above the age of 15, he was the worlds best footballer and without him we would be certainties for relegation to the conference but with him we were certainties for domination of the football world for the next 40 years.

NO WAY!
too far i would take him back if it lead to those things

You should feel how you want to feel. In fact i'm envoius of being able to have that much hate about something that is so out of my reach. I wish i hadn't had to go through what I had, so I could be as vitriolic about football and films and other bits relative crap.
I would give almost anything to have Me and Mikey standing in the park lane end together booing Campbell. But i can't so i feel how i do and that man was kind when he didn't have to be so i forgive his career choices and how he went about them.

tRiKs, I agree with you, I lost my eldest son 5 years ago so it's hard to feel so strongly about something so unimportant.

Considering my last post, I actually laughed out loud at that, thanks. It was seriously funny even if you didn't mean it (have some rep).

Glad you laughed

I winced after I read your post just after I'd posted
