That was a group of players that were either trying not to get injured due to the world cup and the other players who are looking forward to their holidays!

please never play alnwick again. how do you concede 7 goals in 2 games against a team that cost about £3m to put together. shocking to be honest. just a damp end to the season. would have been nice to end on a high!

It was the post Carling Cup win all over again. It happened at Birmingham in 2008, and it happened again today.

Poor attitude from a lot of players today, they're meant to be professional

surely they knew the scoreline at the Emirates and then switched off

I killed myself, then the anger brought me back to life and im going to then kill myself again in order to punish the club for such an awful season.

I want my season back!!

What part of that makes it alright?

The thousands of travelling yidos wouldn't have been thinking at half time "Oh well, we can't finish third, shall we leave now and miss the traffic?"

I would imagine that was the most likely scenario. Conceding the goal just before the break wouldn't have helped either. Although, according to the commentary they all looked pretty shagged out. It has been a long week/8 days for them.

arse 3 up at half time = time to switch off

Im not a professional footballer but i have played competitive football i hated losing no matter how much importance a game had(or didnt have) and even though there was no chance of getting into third place, i find it hard to believe that any of them wouldn't care about losing a football match, surely personal pride alone stops you from doing that??

Poor team selection IMO. That team didnt need to play. They were bound to be knackered and it was asking alot for another 90mins after 4 days on the piss. There were a number of players that should have started and probably wanted to prove a point.

A great season all in all.

Thank Christ we didn't need to play Alnwick at Eastlands.

Let's pretend it didn't happen and move on.

shocking, how a bit of pride so you can look at the table and see we only finished 2 points behind of arsenal, or a nice gap between 4th and 5th

what a way to end a good season, with that fucking clown shoes

Ok so its not alright if they switched off at half time because arsenal are winning. Thing is they probably didnt intend to do this. It was just a mindset and to be fair there are about 5 of them with a real chance of playing in the world cup. Wouldnt you do the same???

I would have loved a win today but maybe this result also brings us back down to earth a bit. We are not going to storm the premership and champions league next season, we will very much be underdogs for these titles and this result shows why.

Maybe a bit more professionalism would have won us the game but i cant bring myself to slate the players after the huge performances against arsenal chelsea and man city.
