Intrigued to know what everyone's starting XI would be after the international break as there's a lot to consider with the form of some players, fitness and commitment of others. There's people like Eriksen who still seems to have his heart set of a move as well as maybe Danny Rose plus players like Toby/Jan who looks to be in the final year for us.

So what do we do? We can't phase them all out of the team as it's too many changes but at the same time we can't have players who aren't focused and we also need to bed in the new lads.

Back 4: KWP Toby Jan Sessegnon

Aurier does not seem to be in Poch's plans so we have to continue to give KWP a run of games, it's the only way he will improve. Toby & Jan are probably going to leave us but they're still our best CB pairing and they'll provide the experience KWP/Sess need and they'll both benefit massively playing along side them both.

Rose has been in dreadful form and is another one who seems to want a move or Poch is willing to let go, so let's get Sessegnon some games whilst we still have Toby and Jan to guide him.

Midfield: Winks/Dier & Ndombele

Winks is best when we're either away or playing one of the top sides at home and not expected to have the majority of possession. We didn't need him in games like Newcastle where we were going to dominate the ball regardless but you could see where we needed him against Arsenal so I'd like to see Poch be a bit more clever about when we start him and if it's in a 2 or 3 man midfield home or away.

Dier needs games and when we do dominate the ball we need him to sit and protect the back four as the wing backs will be massively advanced in these games and his inclusion will hopefully help stop us getting suckering punched like we did against Villa and Newcastle.

Sissoko's limitations will become more and more obvious the more we see Ndombele so I think it's time we used Moussa as a sub to help us see out games or use him where we're playing a particularly big/strong side.

Forwards: Son, Dele, Lamela & Kane

I think Dele needs to be played off Kane to get the best out of them both. Eriksen needs to earn his place in my opinion and committed or not his presence should hopefully keep Dele on his toes. Lamela's form is deserving of keeping his place in my opinion and we have really strong options with Eriksen, Lucas & Lo Celso.

Don't think it's that worth focussing on - it's unlikely we'll play a full strength side very often, and different games require different teams. That said, my preference would be:

Against lower/mid-table sides likely to sit back:

Lloris
KWP Toby Jan Davies
Ndombele Lo Celso
Son Dele Eriksen
Kane

Against top sides/difficult away games:

Lloris
Aurier Toby Jan Rose
Winks
Ndombele Eriksen
Dele Son
Kane

Dier can basically cover in either of these sides/create a midfield three against the top teams, full-backs depend largely on form.

Assuming Lo Celso and NDombele live up to their billing, it seems to me we essentially have 12 first eleven players in Lloris, whoever settles in as the RB/LB starters, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Winks, NDombele, Lo Celso, Eriksen, Alli, Son, and Kane. The likes of Moura, Sissoko, Lamela, Dier, and Sanchez I think are all extremely overqualified squad players.

While this will mostly get sorted out by injuries, rotation, and whatever ghastly things generally afflict Tottenham players throughout the season, this is how I would handle it.

Against lower level teams likely to sit back or at home against midtable sides:

Lloris
RB Alderweireld Vertonghen LB
NDombele Lo Celso
Son Eriksen Alli
Kane
Against top sides or on the road:

Lloris
RB Alderweireld Vertonghen LB
Winks
Ndombele Lo Celso
Son Kane Alli

Eriksen's situation has no bearing on his place in the team... he's our best player over the last 6 years, and we are stunted without him. I have no doubt he will give his all for this season. He doesn't have anything to lose after all.

My question is can Sessegnon play RB?

If so:

Hugo
Sessegnon - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Rose
Eriksen - Ndombele - Lo Ceslo
Dele
Son - Kane

I don't think so and to be honest we should avoid it, I don't think it helped KWP when we played LB and it's harsh on someone so young to ask him to play an unfamiliar position in a new side in the top league.

KWP has had a better start to the season than Rose, and with more experience should improve.

I’d drop Rose for Sess and keep playing KWP at RB.

This is how it will transpire in my mind, which is imagine means we’ll actually end up playing a 5-0-5 with Wanyama up front.

Lloris
Walker-Peters Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Dier Ndombele
Lo Celso Eriksen Son
Kane

Lucas
Sessegnon Dele Lamela
Winks Sissoko
Davies Sanchez Foyth Aurier
Gazzaniga

We'd be mad not to try and integrate Aurier back in to the team. He's not a world beater, but rotation and injuries held him back last season, he didn't look that bad when he played. I still think he's the best of our "options".

Lloris
Aurier - Toby - Jan - Rose*
Dier - Ndombele
Alli - Eriksen - Son
Kane
*If he bucks up his fucking ideas.

Dier might not be necessary against lesser opposition at home, but for the average PL match that is what I'd like to see. Plenty of options from the bench too which is important in Winks, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Lamela and Lucas. Fucking good squad if we can ever get them all fit.

18 non injured players, with the 3 that are out of contract next season committed to put the effort in.

I find the midfield situation difficult to work out, on the one hand you want to play your best players but I almost want a more defensive player in there so that we can compensate on the fullbacks.

With that in mind going forward Id like to see

Lloris
Foyth Alder Vert Sessegnon
Winks
Ndombele Lo Celso
Son Kane Dele

Id love to try and get a midfield duo of Ndombele, Lo Celso to fit Eriksen in but I think we will need that added deep lying player so Ndombele and Lo Celso have a bit more freedom.

With the way Rose has been playing I have no problem chucking Sessegnon in the deep end.

This is my 11 id like to see come together over the first half of the season as opposed to the first game back.

Aurier Alder Verts Davies
Dier
Ndombele Lo Celso
Son Kane Erisken

Alli, lucas, sess, rose, gazza, winks, KWP, foyth, lamela.

Thats a good squad when everyone is fit and will allow us to rotate when necessary
