I don't think he will ever play for us again.

We loaned him down the table so he'd have more chance of game time - if he can't sort himself out to get time at Sunderland, how the fuck he expect to get it at Tottenham ffs?

He's being do OK at Sunderland from what I've read, still not good enough to play for us though and never will be imo.

He needs to be careful he is still on our books, when he returns from loan he might be training with the kids like Adebayor did.

I think we'll be looking to sell him on when he returns.

Read his quotes, he doesn't actually criticise the club, seems more like he's just saying he's hit a tough part in his career and he's not used to not getting game time

Well, I dunno, doesn't seem anything particularly controversial in what he says.

Not that it matters imo. This always had a whiff of buying him to sell him for about £6m should he show something during a prem loan. Plan seems to be going well enough so far.

Sadly I think you might be right, Dier & Alli show that if your good enough you get game time & Kane shows that by working at your game & taking the chances you get you can get into the team, so maybe he should blame himself rather than the club.

Obviously written to be a sensational article with a sensational headline to generate clicks. Don't fall for that shit, Mullers!

They use the SI article that @yankspurs referenced, but they chopped and moved around his quotes so it sounds like he is upset, when in the original interview and article, he comes off as very humble and appreciative to continue learning.

Agree shit article to make headlines and as usual a somewhat overreaction to this judging by some of the comments.....just what the journalist wanted.
In my opinion Yedlin was a good buy for the money and just need the experience of playing regular games in the Premiership. We loaned him out for this and Sunderland have a full back that plays consistently for them without forking out millions.
A win win for us and them. This lad will develop over time. If not we will have doubled or trebled his resale value.

Bullshit inflammatory headline, if you read his quotes their actually pretty positive, except for the bit about english fans.

Worked for Danny Rose.
He's young he'll settle.
Actually at 22 he's nearly too old for Mauricios Babes.

Shame for him, walker is out of his league so unlikely to get in the team with trip on the books too.

Seems like he expected to walk into the first team on day one. He was a star in the MLS but championship football more than premier league. If he can find his feet at Sunderland he might have a future, otherwise we're better off cutting our losses.

He's got a great opportunity to learn how to improve defensively with Allardice in charge of him for a season.
